I wish I understood how to find what thread items that appear in Bsky Notifications were linked to. I have no idea what the above comment is referring to.

That is when I started to devote myself full time to music and have been at it ever since. My only goal is to keep learning and in that I am succeeding. Thank you for reading and, if you do, thank you for listening. p.s. R-MEX is short for "The Rude Mechanicals" Shakespeare's "hempen homespuns".

In the 70s I went to Art School and made sculpture, on graduating I "went up the pub" until I finally had to get a job that I did for 14 years 'til redundant! 1992. 7 yrs of job search during which I kept busy with "eco activism" 1999 another job for 17yrs 2016 redundant again!

I know that there are millions of people just like me who have the tools to create and post music that very few people will ever hear but I'm at peace with that. I have no wish to collaborate with anyone, which is a heresy I know. What I find satisfactory is I have developed a process I follow.

In the last several years I have made a determined attempt to absorb some music theory. Youtube resources have helped with recording and mixing techniques but really trial and error, persistence and stubborn bloody mindedness has been what has kept me going.

After 30 years just listening to music I decided to try and make some myself using the tech that just becoming available. Steep learning curve! I was fortunate to be made redundant in 2016 which gave me unlimited time, though limited resources, to devote to learning how to make music.

I couldn't claim to adhere to any particular genre, all tracks are original (except I did try and mimic dub plate riddims see playlist "Dub Plate Stylee" on one occasion) Track posts date back to 16 years ago at which point I'd been creating since the middle 80s but I was a late starter...

Much older posts are .mp3 files but the standard format I use is 44.1 Kh 16bit .wav files which I describe as "CD quality" for the uninitiated. They are free to download should you wish to but you'd have to sign up to Soundcloud for that which you can do for free for a basic account.

R-MEX the name I use to post the original tracks I make, strictly no AI, to Soundcloud streaming platform listen for free without having to sign up. Just click the ▶️icon then when presented with the sign in screen collapse that by clicking the "X" in the top r.hand corner and the music plays.

I remember thirty five years or more ago explaining to the woman serving me in the chip shop how the gulf stream a.k.a. (AMOC) could collapse. Sadly decades of obfuscation and misdirection by the fossil lobby have changed that, then seeming remote, prospect from "possible" to "likely".

Change doesn’t happen because those in power suddenly decide to be bolder - it happens when. Greens push them to be better. And on climate, that couldn’t be more urgent. Vote Green to keep fossil fuels in the ground, where they belong

So we've sent a letter to Burnham - warning him that approving Rosebank could breach his new sanctions. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

I remember that first broadcast of the Tony Blackburn show - "Flowers in the rain" by The Move was the first record he played. My late brother and I listened in our shared bedroom. We split it half with two wardrobes facing in opposite directions and a broom handle made a curtain rail a window each

"Miliband was right to highlight the threat that climate breakdown poses to our national security – though the full extent of these threats, highlighted by UK intelligence agencies in a report last year, have never been fully released." Adrian Ramsay asks: where does Labour stand on climate?

WHERE DOES LABOUR STAND ON THE CLIMATE CRISIS?

ADRIAN RAMSAY
MP FOR WAVENEY VALLEY

"Miliband asked where each and every party stands on tackling the climate crisis.
The Green Party is unequivocal: it means no new drilling for oil and gas in the North Sea. It means no green light for a third runway at Heathrow. It means massive investment in our homes, green energy sources and transport in ways that both tackle the climate crisis and cut people’s bills.

So we ask Labour: where do you stand on these issues?"

We want to see much greater emphasis on the alliance’s efforts to encourage dialogue to support global peace-building. • NATO must act solely in defence of member states Most of the world’s countries do not possess weapons of mass destruction and are safer as a result
