If anyone missed the One-Day Cup game between Somerset and Surrey here is a moment that could have turned the game, and seemed to have done, until Surrey's lower order partnerships took it to the final over. Heart broken for Somerset esp Niamh Holland who's career best 130 not out was my highlight.

For some reason Dale doesn't do Alt Text so we have to give him a hand!

Boring things about modern life #9 When I post new tracks on Soundcloud within seconds I get a message such as those in the picture. I used to reply respectfully and decline but today I tried an experiment - I replied in gibberish - it confirmed to me that the originator is just a bot!

I found this blurb today. It must have been written 10 yrs ago to try to encapsulate the sound of R-MEX...

R-MEX a sound in search of a genre, a music that can't be labelled. It is not Jazz but it sounds jazzy. It's not Reggae but has a reggae dub feel. It's not Trip Hop or Break Beat but it has beats. It's too up beat to be Ambient too laid back and chilled to be Dance. Definitely Electronica but of a very mellow kind.

This is a unique sound that comes from its own roots has defined itself as "Space Reggae Jazz" a psychedelic mixture inspired by jazz, reggae and a host of other styles. Inhabiting the chill zone but with quiet energy and infectious toe tapping rhythms - a bubbling stream of consciousness weaving simple threads into a shifting soundscape that sooths, delights and inspires.

Desiring a music that can remain nourishing while being endlessly repeated not a disposable short lived candy.

Music is for moods - when you are in the mood R-MEX is the music.

Expect the unexpected... went for my daily walk this a.m. today is "Yard Sale Day" in my neighbourhood with over a hundred participants. Mostly old clothes but I picked up this beauty.

There is no need to stoop so low to ridicule politicians through a cartoon (see below). Mind you the cartoon of Zack doesn't really have a political point does it? Just hate of who he is not what he stands for. Only the gullible are fooled!
