every will stancil tirade is exactly the same: selective framing of an argument that he uses to moan about how his rivals are cooked by social media and peer pressure, and that he, a terminally online guy with 100k followers, is immune to these pressures and is never wrong (& is the real victim)

In this sense they resemble conservatives more than they realize. They try to make scandals from esoteric threads they pull out of the left wing, while treating the horrors of their own party as negligible. MAGA blames the left and the democrats filter out their blame and keep passing it left

💯 the usual retreat to internecine cross-factional beefs bc they can't and don't want to engage with actual politics happening in reality because it means their assumptions were bad and history (derogatory) is going to keep happening anyway even if we'd really prefer otherwise

waving away the insanely vast, complex biological system as “blobs of flesh” just kind of sums up the generally stupidity I see from these people.

when i say i am fine with suspension of democratic norms to ensure this never happens again, i mean that every single ICE guard described in this piece should be tried and executed on live television, and the government should maintain a printed & online publication describing their lives & crimes.

To me, this is the conduct of an unserious person. Someone willing to eat shit in public so long as it advances their politics. It’s embarrassing. Can’t believe how much I see this on here!

Related example. obviously dr. Traditions is shit posting. He is known for this. We all know this. Pretending he is “spinning baroque theories” is foolish behavior. People are not well and are not able to communicate with integrity bc the website incentivizes them to post self-righteous rubbish.

Like legit so much of this site is people saying blatantly false stuff, totally distorting reality, purely making shit up. Not healthy behavior. Truly depressing.

I don’t follow the Piker stuff, don’t care about him at all, not seeking content about him. Yet numerous posts have come across my feed of people doing precisely what this post is saying “no one” is doing. But supposedly this person has been on the case for a long time and isn’t seeing it?

I don’t think most people can handle social media tbh. It seems so obvious the beast is too powerful for most brains. Brutal to observe. Many such cases etc

I have to say, as someone who does not use this site very often, pretty much every time I come on here I experience shock at how absolutely cooked so many people on here are. Just some of the most degraded, delusional shit that is just normal daily behavior for people it’s depressing af

This is why I the nerd vs bully thing he and his ilk talk about it so wrong. The majority of shit he posts has nothing to do with charts or data or experts consensus — it’s just him opening the app and ranting about shit he sees. Then they all work backwards to buttress their opinions.

Rosalynde @roslaynde.bsky.social · 04/08/2026
(Idk how to post so my point 1 was cropped at the end. I meant to point out that this “alienating the normies” thing is another completely unexplored assertion of the piece. Normies are scared of black? Also, can we not learn from history other than “black bloc bad?” Do we remember Hong Kong or…?

But most importantly, she’s saying this about people who showed up to a concentration camp to let the frightened people inside know that they are not alone and that outside their cages there a people still fighting for them. Fuck right off with this cosplay American flag bullshit.

Yes, it is an offensive and ridiculous description of what happened in the chaos of Minneapolis while we were - and continue to be! - under seize by the US gov. 2/3

Rosalynde @roslaynde.bsky.social · 04/08/2026
I find this particular bit quite vulgar. Yes, it is indicative of the shallow nature of the piece in which black clothes are said to alienate normies, with no attempt to actually prove this, or even prove why 1/3

I’m interested in the facts of the Prarieland case, not hypotheticals. The “cold-hearted strategic and tactical analysis” the author promised and fails to deliver. Y’all are ensnared by an obsession to have the Correct Take Online and cannot see the forest for the trees here.

What is the title of the liberal currents essay we are discussing?
100
Rosalynde @roslaynde.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
Notice how you and others keep saying that all objections can only mean “gun good.” I know at least Nathan is a capable reader so it’s embarrassing he can only counter with “gun is bad” as though that makes the essay impervious to any criticism as to how HL argues her case/analyses Prairieland.
120
Rosalynde @roslaynde.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
I’m pointing out that the piece is not a “tactical and strategic analysis” of Prairieland. It’s a trite op-ed in which the author uses sparse details, some of which she cartoonishly mischaracterizes, in order to make a simplistic point.

Rosalynde @roslaynde.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
a lot of the hype I’m seeing isn’t even grappling with the analysis on its merits, and is satisfied to agree with the simplistic premise. Honestly driving me insane lol

“Song’s actions flowed out of a deliberate strategy.” What does that mean? How is this demonstrated? It isn’t! What about the other activists whose actions did not “flow out of” this culture and strategy? An analysis has failed to flow out of the author’s strategy

Rosalynde @roslaynde.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
I cannot deal with how bad Hancox-Li’s piece is. The whole thing is like this. “Song’s actions are [a] result of culture and doctrine.” Prove it! The only evidence is a brief message Hill wrote and smth alleged by the prosecution.
It might be tempting at this point to shift to a moral framework that simply blames Song for being a hothead. But that would be a mistake. Rather, Song's actions are an unsurprising result of culture and doctrine among the Prarieland activists. This isn't particularly complicated. Prior to July 4, Song himself talked about using longarms to intimidate police officers.

Per one of the activists, Susan Kent:

Autumn Hill asked Song whether the plan was for them to bring guns. "Yes," Song replied. "I'm not getting arrested."
And when police officers arrived, someone shouts "Get to the rifles," at least according to prosecutors. Song's actions flowed out of a deliberate strategy of using firearms to intimidate other armed parties. And as Song's actions demonstrate, once you commit yourself to such a strategy, you have inherently admitted the possibility of shooting, injuring, and killing the other party

Rosalynde @roslaynde.bsky.social · 03/08/2026
This was what made your response so necessary! So many people praising the piece because they agree with the premise that taking guns to a protest is a bad idea…ok? But the piece is called a “tactical and strategic analysis” and it is practically missing analysis of any kind!
