Blue Prince is a great game but it’s deceptively deep. I wouldn’t recommend it if you want a short game.

I get it if it’s not your thing, but learning to mitigate the RNG is part of the challenge of the game. It’s not that people are ok rolling the dice waiting for something to happen. People enjoy learning the mechanics and turning them to their advantage. Like poker, get good and it’s not about luck

AI is amazing when it comes to understanding and modifying a code base. I think the issue is that many of the people evaluating AI place an over importance on that type of ability and wrongly assume the gains will be equivalent in other types of situations.

There is an in game explanation for where the marauders came from. But it is obvious they started with wanting a group you could kill indiscriminately and worked backward to an explanation. But even Fallout New Vegas has some factions like this that you could never negotiate with.

It’s an incredible game but not for everybody. The sticking point for some is the RNG. It’s part of the fun if you enjoy engaging with the mechanics and strategy but some people felt like the RNG was getting in the way of their fun of puzzle solving.

It’s closer to Outer Wilds. There’s a few mechanical and a few logic based stand alone puzzles but most are part of interconnected mysteries. One of the “puzzles” is figuring out the game mechanics and resource strategies. Some people don’t enjoy the strategy aspect and become annoyed at the RNG.
