Clary in Where the Heart Is originally had an acorn pendant she wore. It's tradition in the Southern Kingdom to receive the acorn from their family grove at birth. It stays with them all their life & they're buried with it upon death. Unfortunately, the King destroys it. #AwesomeCharacters

While I will unfortunately not have all my titles with me at my event this Saturday, I will have little mini book preview of some of the title readers can find online. Hoping to make mini fliers of the children's books next!

The exception is sometimes with 3rd POV, when I get really into my characters' heads, sometimes I can slip into 1st (I normally catch it & fix it pretty immediately, though). The book often decides what it wants. And it always feels like it fits the story well.

7- #FantasyIndiesSpooktober- POV & tense are not really something that sticks in my brain after. I have to remind myself constantly what book has which, including the ones I wrote. That being said, I am pretty consistent with it when writing (I've done both 3rd & 1st, past & present).

In The Clumsy Glassmaker (the Eastern ocean kingdom also has their own version of this story) a person with a passion for glassmaking is very clumsy, but eventually creates a masterpiece out of all the broken shards of their mistakes.

5- #OctoberWorldbuilders- One of Amarlock's stories is about cobwebs. It is believed that these webs hold the story of the places and things they cover. In The Clay Figure, someone creates these mud dolls that are nearly indistinguishable from humans, except for their lifeless eyes.
