I got rid of insta because a friend got mad at me and honestly I'm scared to go back. I deleted the app but didn't close my accounts. I mainly used them to post pictures of my plush and on occasion post about me in cosplay. But not using it has honestly felt really good, so I might not go back

On October 1, 1970, Janis Joplin walked into Sunset Sound Recorders in Los Angeles and recorded “Mercedes Benz,” an a cappella performance that would become the final studio recording of her life. 🕯️💖🕊️ 🌹

Written by Joplin with poet Michael McClure and Bob Neuwirth, the song was recorded in a single take, with Janis singing completely unaccompanied. Its humor and irony made it unlike almost anything else she had recorded.
Just three days later, on October 4, Joplin died at the age of 27 while still working on what would become Pearl.
“Mercedes Benz” was eventually included on the posthumously released album, leaving one of rock’s most unmistakable voices completely alone for one remarkable final studio performance.
