With everyone (my trees) all snuggled in I can work on trying to make kombucha from scratch (with no scoby) I put about a cup of sugar into a half gallon of super strong tea with some acv ferment strands yesterday. So far so good.

A freshly dug grapefruit tree in random soil and a cut bpack plastic planter so I can see the nebari. It is as tall and nearly as wide as a tire and has one in the background. This tree is also throwing off all its leaves out of stress but thats perfectly normal for citrus in response to being collected. With a little bottom heat, humidity, and a lot of aftercare it should spend the season growing roots and be spritely next spring.

I messed up and got chewed out today. Why? Woke someone up at 6am on sunday for a craigslist gig. 80% of them are usually robots or people with emergencies so its my habit to go through them at shiftchange. I'd lost hope there were people... Definetly lost this sidegig but gained some hope♡( ◡‿◡ )

After the heat its finally collection season!! I lost most of my bonsai and its greenhouse to a hurricane. I quickly planted what was left to increase survival. I've harvested 2 to test the waters. They'll be overwintering in my makeshift growroom. #bonsai #yamadori #repot #tree #houseplants

I went searching through a true abandoned shack and found package wrapped in some kind of weird material. Then lots of paper. Turns out it was a a tabocco smelling leather briefcase! After a run with the showerhose and a LOT of reconditioning to get rid of most of the smell it looks pretty fancy.

Made a superb squash soup with scavenged veggies today. I always thought squash was a winter food but it handles being a cold soup quite well. Surprisingly none of the green veggies had any effect on the bright color.
