Devastating news about Jota. My heart goes out to his young family, what a loss.

Seriously, someone go and knock on. Check his heart rate.

Dept. Q on Netflix, well worth a watch. Whoever at Netflix is obsessed on commissioning Slow Horses esq dramas, see Black Doves also, deserves a promotion.

Yes, because they absolutely walked it and won it weeks ago. Stop stirring shit.

Still can’t believe we’re signing someone of Wirtz quality. I’ve been desperate for Liverpool to step up and press home their advantage, whilst they’re ahead. I remember the days of desperately hoping we scrape top 4, now we’re ahead and plan to stay there.

Somebody check on @nocturnalibpool.bsky.social, he might have passed out due to the Wirtz news.

Have a sinking feeling Konate will be the name departing this summer, that we’d all want to stay.

No matter your view on the rest, Empire and New Hope have to be in the top 3.

Most underrated player in the league by miles. Mac take a bow.

Huge day, can’t quite believe we’re going to win the title again. Whilst technically the 6th in my lifetime, I was barely able to kick a football for the first four. Whilst yes this is Klopp’s side on paper, you have to give serious praise to Slot. It’s a massive achievement.

Starting playing TLOU remastered again, about half way in. Such a great game, story unparalleled but technically the second is levels above. Think it’s my fourth or fifth time now and naturally going to follow up with Part 2. What I’d give for a Part 3.

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 26/04/2025

I’m sure Slot will celebrate, but imagine it’ll be brief as he’ll be planning how to do this all over again next season. He’s so focused on improvement and I imagine he’ll have hopes/plans of how we’ll strengthen the squad to only give us a greater chance to go again.

Back in the Scottish highlands for the first time in 5 years next weekend. Early forecast looking promising, hoping for some great photography opportunities.

I live fairly rurally, but always like coming to my parents. Fields and very little else.

Impeccable season from Slot all things considered, but you do feel there is more to come, once the squad is moulded more in his vision / style.

My god am I desperate for him to stay.

We’ve had incredible weather lately.

Horrible news to wake up to. Kilmer was one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood. You can list films like Top Gun, Heat, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang but I grew up as him as Madmartigan in Willow. I know it’s not aged well, but as a kid I was in awe.

Manchester By The Sea is 6th in Netflix top 10 films. That means far too many people are having a really tough week. Not that it’s bad, but such a tough watch.

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 25/03/2025

I’m a bit late, but yeah Adolescence hits like a train. One shots are often called gimmicks, but not here, the focus amplifies everything. Incredible drama.

Watched them again this week, timeless for me. Hoping it’s Apple, as fits their style most.

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 18/03/2025

Didn’t think it would be this international break that the contract situation finally broke, but feels like they’ll be more resolution one way or another by the end of it.

020

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 17/03/2025

Starting LB, DM, LW, 9. We need those 4 as starters this summer. Fix that and we’ll go a long way, if all 3 stay. If they go we need to buy more and that’s where it gets difficult. Losing Trent is going to have a massive impact, far bigger than most like to admit.

051

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 16/03/2025

Liverpool looked slow and weak. It might be fatigue, but it has to be addressed come summer. I hate being bullied on the pitch.

480

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 16/03/2025

No Trent is a massive, massive issue.

440

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 16/03/2025

This might be a sign of what to come next season, if Trent does go. We’ll badly need to fix how we process the ball effectively without him.

120

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 13/03/2025

It’ll sound dramatic but right now I can only name 4 maybe 5 guaranteed starters in the Liverpool 11 next season. Should any of the contracts be resolved that number obviously rises. Right now I’d say a 9, LB, CM/DM and LW are primary signings still, in that order.

151

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 12/03/2025

It’s not though, as there are clear mitigating factors. Nunez doesn’t need explaining. Jota has always been up and down, but injuries seem to have caught up. Diaz arguably better under Slot, but again has always been erratic. There is only so much coaches can do, we need new signings.

171

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 11/03/2025

They’ll be a ton of criticism at players, maybe even the manager but we’re so far ahead of where I’d expect us to be. You can see the issues in the squad, there is a ton of work still to do and yet we’re going to win a league title in year one of Slot’s reign.

3190

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 11/03/2025

Whatever said, fair play to PSG. They’re one hell of a side.

3210

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 11/03/2025

Whatever happens, these are two extremely high quality sides.

1170

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 11/03/2025

Struggling to cope here, been a while since such a tense occasion.

160

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 11/03/2025

Jota for Nunez is probably the initial play, although I’d love to see Gakpo too.

4100

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 11/03/2025

As good as PSG were, there were significant gaps and risks taken, which we badly failed to exploit for the most part. You would imagine that doesn’t happen again.

5111

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 10/03/2025

The game tomorrow is massive, as is Sunday but I’m pretty confident about both. No doubting last week was difficult, but I just can’t see a repeat. Slot will have learnt plenty, as will the players. Plus Anfield on a European night is always a cauldron.

Still can’t believe we beat PSG. What a mad game.

030

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 06/03/2025

So I might need to buy this and have another go around on both masterpieces.

010

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 06/03/2025

As one sided as the first half was, the game plan largely worked in the second. Efforts largely became more speculative and counter opportunities grew, we just struggled to make any of them count, until that one moment. Salah, Diaz and Jota will never play that poorly again.

260

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 05/03/2025

Exhausted after that. Alisson with an all timer and to be fair second half was better, we just lacked quality in attack until the substitutions and that moment. Crazy result, but we’ve watched others do it for years.

Rory Greenfield @rorygreenfield.bsky.social · 04/03/2025

If Mac stays I think it’ll be him, but I could also make a case for Konate.
