Genuinely this was so fun! Car booked in to garage, Goldhawk blocked long stretch except for access so I got to put my hazards on and drive right through like royalty with an accompanying workman. His face when I pulled up with 🇫🇷 plates, he clearly thought oh god who’s this fool 😂

Last of the August beachwalks. Back to London today, home to 🇫🇷 next weekend. I’ll miss these days, it’s been so special being with Mum and having all this on my doorstep. But September in 24 is lovely, looking forward to the gentle morning mists.

Took Mum to church this morning, I don’t mind a bit of reflection in an old building and this one was where she & Dad renewed their vows at 60 years of marriage. Dad’s oddly wonderful funeral was here. I got the impression today’s Vicar was an actor trying a role, never seen such a vicarly vicar ⛪️

Behold my home made spa! I’ve been looking at tubs/spas and got inspired. Mr D & DD bought this antique zinc bath years ago for the alpacas. 10 mins with the hose et voilà. No chemicals or pump, not enough water to worry about. Nothing bought, that’s all from my shed! #spa

June 25th 2015. After a week in Cannes on the Radio Lions jury, I was due to be driven to Nice but a massive taxi strike took place and the airport was blockaded. So the festival organisers put us in helicopters. Best strike day ever 🇫🇷
