She’s getting tired after 5m of play, but that too is getting better every day.

She’s doing a little bit better every day! It’s been a rough couple of weeks and everyone is very sleep deprived, but she’s gaining a bit of weight and tries to play sometimes for a couple of minutes. She still has a lot of vertigo so we can’t really leave her alone but we’re making the best of it.

Also famous for making translators sign away the rights to their own translations. So they’re well on their way to not recognizing the humanity of translators, why wouldn’t they embrace the robot movement?

There are quite a few books on there that I don’t know, very interesting list. The Illiad translation is waiting for me at home, and I hope I can get to it soon. I was wondering if I should read the Odyssey first, but it probably doesn’t matter.

Beautiful thread, thank you! When I think of flowers in movies, the memory that springs immediately to my mind is teenage me sitting in an almost empty theatre watching the end of that first episode of Kurosawa’s Dreams.

A few favourite floral movies. Sometimes as a metaphor, sometimes just for being stunningly beautiful. 1. Cinema’s greatest flower shop in VERTIGO (Alfred Hitchcock, 1958).

I remember having to learn whole additional sets of vocabulary for Shakespeare and Racine, which was part of the fun. Although I do realize not everyone might enjoy it that much. Still, as you said, it’s just a skill, you always get better with practice.
