It makes no difference that some Trump voters feel regret - what matters is they will still vote republican in November unless @democrats.org give them something to vote for.

Lucky I like dogs! 😠 😆 For those of us Boston fans old enough to remember the 90’s, this is nothing.

2026 campaign talking points continue to write themselves @democrats.org Sen. Graham on Ballroom: If you don't think $400 million of taxpayer money is a good investment to create a secure facility at The White House, then I disagree. I bet you 90% of Americans would love to have a better facility.

I don’t have full access to this article, but this quote - taken alone - nails my thoughts on where the next administration needs to go. It’s not enough to undo the harm the R’s have done - the @democrats.org need to pass legislation that prevents this from ever happening again.

I hope the @democrats.org can win control. But they will need to do something they have not been very good at in recent elections: delivering a common, consistent message that relates to the average person.

This comment 💯 . The @democrats.org are viewed as out of touch. Partly because their own messaging is disjointed and (at times)cringy.

I’ve lamented over this issue since the rise of Fox News (and cable “news” in general). But I struggle to find the right balance in interpreting the First Amendment in a way that would both prevent its abuse and protect those that need it most (the minority). Thought provoking but challenging.

Can we end this farce of a process please? They should BOTH get in!! Fans want them both in. It’s a poor reflection on everyone when only 1 can win a stupid popularity contest/fan vote.

I feel like our government is analogous to the 2012 Red Sox under Bobby Valentine. A total shit-show run by clowns. How could we have let this happen? It’s surreal.

So sorry to hear this. In the beginning (+/- 2000) Bruce created an outlet for many of us who wanted to vent about a generally negative boston sports media. It created a wonderfully creative, collaborative online community that continues to entertain and make me laugh. I’m forever grateful. RIP.

This is my point. The @democrats.org weren’t able to take advantage of Trumps weak performance by creating pointed and cohesive talking points around it. R’s did. And the R’s had been consistently touting Biden’s mental capacity for 2 years and so this debate played into that messaging.

Ropes59 @ropes59.bsky.social · 26/09/2025
Yes, ultimately it’s the voters - but let me ask, why did they think this? I don’t think (IMO) average voters are able look past the headlines and sound bites. Republicans have figured this out and use very simple, targeted, yet broad messaging. The @democrats.org have not effectively adjusted.

Ropes59 @ropes59.bsky.social · 10/09/2025
Generally speaking I blame the @democrats.org for being incompetent and incapable of running a focused, consistent campaign. Or of understanding their constituents. Is Harris part of that? Yes. But it’s too easy to blame 1 candidate or 1 reason for a broad party failure.

This is a horrible trade @redsox.com. Ironically, lots of fans I know have a renewed interest this season…for many it’s the first time since the Mookie trade that they’ve paid attention on a daily basis (not sure if the ratings show this - but anecdotally). As usual, Sox out of touch with fanbase.

Immigration is not a winner b/c @democrats.org were out-maneuvered on that subject years ago (despite Obama’s aggressive deportation policy). Democracy and the economy (real OR imagined) are the issues that resonate across party lines. And like immigration , to win in 2026 requires messaging NOW!

I hear what people are saying about waiving whatever flag you want- but nothing would be more impactful on American viewers than images of peaceful protesters waiving hundreds of American flags. Until that happens, marginal republicans will justify police violence as enforcement against immigrants.

Ropes59 @ropes59.bsky.social · 09/06/2025
but anyways, this blatant breaking of the law (Posse Comitatus Act) and likely future enactment of the Insurrection Act combined with the upcoming military parade is a clear reinforcement of that fact that Trump has an extremely small penis and is no longer capable of en erection.

Ropes59 @ropes59.bsky.social · 09/06/2025
I don’t know which is worse - the Republicans use of the marines for a largely peaceful protest, or the @democrats.org inability to rally the American people against it (despite efforts). My father in-law called outraged at what these protesters are making Trump do(!) He isn’t alone in his idiocy.

This is the difference between the @democrats.org and the republicans. The R’s unite, plan and execute their long term strategy while the Dems read the latest polls and decide on the issue of the day. Lather, rinse, repeat. @democrats.senate.gov @housedemocrats.bsky.social

File under: Things that won’t make a dent in the next election. We all know he’s corrupt. Focus on 2 issues that WILL make a difference: The economy and Democracy. Rinse. Wash. Repeat. These are the issues that will win the Dems seats in the midterms if you focus on them.

@democrats.org @democrats.senate.gov @housedemocrats.bsky.social WTF? I hope this doesn’t mean you’re all naive enough (again) to let republicans off the hook. The deportations are important to highlight Trumps disregard for democracy. This needs to be repeated over and over and over…

As a party, we are prisoners being held hostage by people who simply refuse to accept that their time has passed and won’t accept that others more capable right now. Stay in the Senate, but step down from leadership. It’s time for a new approach, a new face, & a new voice.

The @democrats.org @housedemocrats.bsky.social @democrats.senate.gov need to all get on the same page with the same message and attack. Check your ego’s at the door and fight for democracy and the economy. PS - whatever you might think of Pritzker, his message resonated. Try it.

I’m hopeful that the @democrats.org have learned that playing dead does not work. They need to focus on larger key issues (democracy and economy) and hammer them home.

One last point. There seems to be a certain segment of the @democrats.org party that wants to let Trump fail instead of fighting his policies. Schumer represents that group. While that may work in the short term, it’s a losing strategy over time. Especially given what is at stake (democracy).

Ropes59 @ropes59.bsky.social · 28/04/2025
I disagree. They let the republicans control the narrative. Immigration and (ironically) the economy. The Biden economy was a strength and repubs flipped it. The Dems message varied from healthcare, climate, reproductive rights, tax cuts, etc. All important - but too broad.

Ropes59 @ropes59.bsky.social · 28/04/2025
No. Diversity is good. But you can’t protect your diverse ideas if you have no power. Focusing on 2 or 3 issues that all people care about (democracy, economy) doesn’t mean abandoning your ideals. But it does allow you a better chance at creating a winning, consistent narrative.

Ropes59 @ropes59.bsky.social · 28/04/2025
No. The broader point of my argument is that as a party, the Dems need to get on the same page in order for its message to really resonate. Schumer represents the problem Dems have had for years. Fragmented strategies and messaging. Until this is figured out, it IS a party failure.
100
Ropes59 @ropes59.bsky.social · 28/04/2025
Agree to disagree. Until the dems find a consistent message and approach throughout the party, then Schumer’s failure represents a party failure. The fractured budget approach (and its ultimate approval) is an example of this IMO. That should have been a unanimous ‘no’.
