That’s so.
A panel from an old Popeye comic strip.

Popeye says, “A comic artist ain’t no different than you or me or anybody except he knows how to draw pictures and is crazy in the head.”

A man replies, “Yeah, that’s so.”

Baron Harkonnen from DUNE. Harkonnen is described as power-hungry with a talent for manipulating others, a propensity for torture and blackmail, is cruel, sadistic, hedonistic, and an unrepentant rapist and murderer.

At the hockey rink (as usual). Someone left a stack of classics in the lounge.
A stack of comic books including New Teen Titans 37 (1983), Mighty Thor 398 (1988), X-Men 14 (1981), and GI Joe 54 (1986) among others.

An image of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer leaning over and speaking to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson. Text reads "Hail Hydra" - the salute used by the fictional terrorist organization in the Marvel Universe that is often used as a stand-in for the Nazis.

Absolutely. Also, speaking of James Jean, we got him to do a cover for a comic sponsored by PowerAde and LeBron James. Anything goes in Creative Services!
The cover for King James by artist James Jean. It was a comic book where LeBron James saves the word from nefarious forces by competing in an underground basketball tournament. It was paid for and sponsored by Coca-Cola and a promotion for Powerade.

I could probably do a whole series of posts about weird shit that we got away with at DC Comics simply because nobody cared about "Creative Services." Like the time we got guys like Eduardo Risso and Paul Pope to do a fashion inserts starring Young Justice.
Someone had the insane idea to promote fashion inside issues of DC Comics. We hired a fashion writer to provide the copy and artists like Eduardo Risso (best know for the adult noir Vertigo series 100 Bullets) and Paul Pope (best known for his Eisner-award winning work on Batman: Year 100 and Battling Boy) for the visuals. I'm reasonably sure that nobody but those that were involved in making the project cared about the project.

I think about this a lot! The use of communal internet phrases as a sort shorthand is annoying but then just last night I read this (from ON TYRANNY by Timothy Snyder) and now I hate it even more.
Be Kind to our Language. Avoid pronouncing the phrases everyone does. Think up your own way of speaking, even if only to convey that thing you think everyone is saying. Make an effort to separate yourself from the internet. Read books.

Even snuck my name onto a classic trek card in place of a nameless Red Shirt. 😇
The much coveted “Ron Perazza” card from Star Trek: The Card Game.
