Other cuts provided character development. IE Randy Quaid’s kids weren’t his bio kids, his ex abandoned them. And the kid who got sick had some sort of chronic illness that was fatal w/o his meds.

As someone who (partially) grew up on a farm I can say that a person giving those away, is probably a person who would be impressed by the final result.

After a couple shorts I realized an unfinished project hangs heavy on my ND brain. After the strike and studios showed their hand I switched to novels. I have a novelette I’m self publishing on Amazon in November, (“One Day Less Than Forever.” A cursed romance.) and three other series in the works.

Utah is indeed a red state, even at the southern edge, although the Mormon influence is maybe not quite as overwhelming.

030

Ron Lynne @ronlynne.bsky.social · 16/06/2025

My impression is it’s very outdoorsy and if you work at BF that’s kind of your life unless you intentionally branch out. But, this is second hand, I might be off base.

030

Ron Lynne @ronlynne.bsky.social · 16/06/2025

It’s very isolated. Kanab is small and I think people who like it there like the desert vibe. It’s not as Mormon as N Utah, lots of retirees in the general area. But, it’s still Utah, same laws and lawmakers. At least that’s how I read it from the people I know. Good or bad? I guess it depends

Ron Lynne @ronlynne.bsky.social · 16/06/2025

I volunteered at BF in Los Angeles and I know several people at the sanctuary. (Several dogs from LA as well.) it’s southern Utah, it’s still conservative, but it’s like a whole other state down there. (I grew up in northern Utah)

I have a musical (and soundtrack) called City of Angles and autocorrect hates it. Also, search engines simply change it “did you mean city of ANGELS?” No google, (and Spotify) no I did not!

If you need me I’ll be making music and writing and hopefully making films. Yeah, I’ll fight, but right now I just don’t have the energy. I was hoping as I got older I wouldn’t have to fight every day. I’m tired.

Ron Lynne @ronlynne.bsky.social · 18/03/2025

I’m looking at SS because I don’t have retirement. Now that may go away and listen, after 50 years of masking and scraping and fighting, both my ND brain and a society built to keep people like me down, I have to fight a new fight with Billionaires? I’m tired folks. Fucking exhausted. 2/3

I’ve been middle class-poor most of my life. Able to pay bills but no frivolous spending. Used cars, roommates as an adult. Paycheck to paycheck. I am also neurodivergent and had to fight every day to get through this world, which pushed back 24/7. Got meds for ADHD late, now in my 50s — 1/2

Ron Lynne @ronlynne.bsky.social · 13/03/2025

And Supernatural of course. Plus, there’s a whole segment of other genre dramas that I never got into but were just as good.

Ron Lynne @ronlynne.bsky.social · 13/03/2025

It’s pretty amazing that the CW produced the best DCEU (that has never happened in the movies.) Crisis on Infinite Earths was the pinnacle. Arrow and Flash were awesome. (Despite being cheesy and low budget-ish at times)

Since I’ve been getting this a lot - if you feel like supporting me by buying a jersey or something, I would rather you make a donation to Trans Lifeline or The Trevor Project www.thetrevorproject.org

Been a fan for years. I’m a Vikes fan and got his jersey due to him speaking out. (Yeah, I bought a punter’s jersey) Met him at his game shop’s grand opening in HB. Nice guy. Nerd. Politically outspoken.

I said the other day they’re acting like vulture capitalists. This is the same move that drove Red Lobster out of business. (Among others!) Sell property, rent it back. Quick cash, long term problems.

It occurred to me that Trmp is dismantling the government the same way a venture capitalist dismantles an acquisition. They cut jobs, defaultloans, (he floated that today) pay shareholders, and sell it for pennies on the The companies rarely survive this process and go out of business. Sounds fun
