Congressional leaders get beaten up on this site - unnecessarily in my view - for failing to represent party members. Their real job is the care and feeding of floor representatives -- congos and senators. Ordinary voters don't count. /1

The Dems in Congress can't win votes, at least not often. But they can harass, they can stall, they can hold the GOP accountable. They can raise questions about nominees like Hegseth, as Warren just did. That's the job of an opposition party - to make the majority's life miserable.
