I had the pleasure of opening for Afrika Bambaataa with my beatbox showcase some years ago. From my experience, he was a humble man who cared deeply about hip-hop culture and the people in it. He became a controversial figure later on, but I still respect what he did for the culture. #hiphop

For the AI musicians out there who create songs just using prompts: A fully AI-generated song via prompts gets no formal royalties from collecting societies like ASCAP. Pure AI output is ineligible for copyright under US law, as confirmed by the Supreme Court decision in March 2026.
