Text in a group chat that made it clear that the teacher who went to a new school isn't that keen on me, which I already suspected. Others in the chat seemed to think that I was asked to join her at her school like they were. Maybe, at some point, this year could stop going from shitty to shittier.

Also, weirdly enough, my mom and I have both had famous musicians die on our birthdays - Elvis for her and Dolly for me. I'm glad we had her for as long as we did, and hopefully we can all do better and be like her.

Lots of people are paying tribute to Dolly Parton today and, like so many other people, I grew up listening to her - watching her on the Grand Ole Opry with Porter Wagoner. Listening to albums with my dad. She was always proudly herself, and I think we all know how hard that can be.

In 8th grade science, I force them to watch Interplanet Janet. I made a kid use a question in US History jeopardy of "What was the shot heard round the world?". In English placement in college, I could tell when everyone got to the adverb question. Also, I can still sing every single one of them.

I would like to have a non-verbal option that only includes the instruction to have the massage softer or harder. This also goes for dental work, haircuts, and anything where other people are involved.
