Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 20hGlad I'm not alone, but hope it comes soon. Don't like to easte doctor's time on something that should be already done. 110
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 20hAm in France, so not NHS. Usually get our notification through in September here, I think. 100
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 20hI have checked this week and nothing there. I usually get both because of health issues. I may have to be brave and go and see gp to get ordonnances. 000

Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 21hJust realised I've not had my regular vaccine blurb through yet... am sure it's traditionally been here long before now 🤔 960
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Clearly a rush order at the biscuit factory tonight! ❤️ 130
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 07/10/2026And I do have a copy of his insurance at the time of the job, because we had to submit it as part of our claim for myprimerenov 010
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 07/10/2026This is what I keep reminding myself! And yes, the promise of a discount on something I pray we won't have to do seems a bit of an insult, if I'm honest. 010
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 07/10/2026May head down that route if we can't get him to budge. 110
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I have pointed out our backgrounds in my reply to him - and a little reminder as to why I don't use the phone to contact him (or anyone else!) I think he's trying to get away with not making a claim at all, and hoping that as we're english we won't query his claim that the insurance won't cover it 230
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 07/10/2026We approached them first and they insisted it was down to his insurance to sort it. I may go back to then with his response and see if there is anything further we can do. I don't want to be a difficult customer, but we can't afford to absorb this when it shouldn't be us shouldering the cost of it. 120
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 07/10/2026To be fair, he has offered a discount to the value of the repair if we ever have our roof done - but as that may not happen as we have no plans to replace it for at least 10-15 years, by which time he may well have retired anyway, it's not much of an offer for us now. 210
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 07/10/2026that's our feeling. Hate this sort of thing though, as he is a really nice man and did a good job. He didn't make the lock, so it isn't his fault it failed, but it is his responsibility to put it right. But, if we do ever need our roof doing, he's the best in the area so don't want to piss him off! 120
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Right. Aidan worked in insurance for 40plus years and I did for about 4. Sounds fishy as hell to both of us! 030
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 07/10/2026We had to pay someone else to fix it - that's the problem. It should be covered by his 10 year insurance (or that if whoever actually made the door). 120
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Gaaahhhh! M. Mouly claiming his insurance won't pay out as he didn't do the repairs on our door when the lock failed in the summer. It was August. He didn't even respond to my email about it. What else were we supposed to do, other than calm someone else out?! 🤬🤬🤬 670
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 06/10/2026LeShuttle is definitely my preferred option, it's just the cost of everything at the moment. All a bit frustrating. 140
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 06/10/2026What I looked at first, but was so much more than usual, hence considering ferry/shuttle. We're not going to go in Jan now, we'll see how things go later in the year. 000
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Poor Thanny and Thruppence. Cleo says je suis Thruppence aussi! 020
Roly Peck @rolypeck.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Think we'll leave it until later in the year. We're due to get our downstairs shower room/loo done in January, and we just can't justify the cost of both in the same month. 110
