I really hope things go well with rpg-trader.com General issues w/ monopolies aside, It's solves the majority of my UX gripes with other platforms. I'm tired of digging for the most important pre-purchase info on when I'm supposed to even expect to get something to the table.

The left half of the listing for a game called "Beef" on RPG Trader. You see it's cover image, tags, and the "Description, Details, Reviews, Discussions" bar is set to details where the creators name, the product's category (it's a full game), it's genre, intended audience & content, tone, playstyle, language, and publish date are all easily red down the list.

I know this game is meant to be of a "modern" genre intended for "adult, casual, family-friendly, and low prep" audience with a "humorous, lighthearted, slapstick" tone and a "Duo, GM-less, PvP/Competitive, Rules-light" playstyle from super quick and easy navigation.

the full page for World Wide Wrestling: Second Edition. On the right side I see it's title, subtitle and creator listed. imminently below that it's listed as a rules system, game, and powered by the apocalypse. I can add it to my wish list, see that it's on sale. For this game there are purchase options for standard (digital download at normal price), community copies (for this game it's free/pay what you want), playsheets & optional materiel (for this game they're free), that it's in a bundle I can navigate to as well, and below that there's an "also available" block where the creator was able to link buying a physical copy from their website.
Again on the left side set to detail I can see that this is a casual and low prep game. tone is meant to be character-driven, chaotic, cinematic, drama, fast-paced, lighthearted, and maximalist. the playstyle is listed as drop-in/drop-out, episodic, large group, one-shot, open-ended, player-driven, PvP/competitive. and again it's Powered by the Apocalypse and has the bonus tags of "Pro Wrestling, Professional Wrestling." I know everything I could possible expect to know to help me decide if it's a good fit for me and my table.

I tried to keep the alt text as succinct as possible but there is just so much here and its all important.

Drawing something funny you saw a person doing in public instead of taking their picture not only respects their bodily autonomy rather than invading their privacy, it also makes the joke way funnier imo.

Thinking of making "has a folder of cool wizard art" a major part of my personality again. It worked out surprisingly well for me socially speaking and I have more wizards then ever before.

This comment I made on tumblr was a surpize hit by my standards so I'm posting it here too. Transcription in alt. Tldr: I actually like d&d a lot, but people still need to play other games.

I'm someone who actually likes D&D and is begging other people who love D&D, on hands and knees, to try another game because there are so many good ones out there.
D&D is really great if you want to go "ah ha! but I used my action to cast Spirit Guardians last turn so when the enemy gets within 15 feet of me their speef is halved and they have to roll a Wisdom Saving Throw and take 3d8 Radiant Damage if they fail and they still take half it if they succeed!"
If that's what you love about D&D, power to you. But if you like literally anything else about tabletop roleplaying I promise you there is 100% a better suited game out there for whatever it is you want to get out of this hobby.

This meant my girl Yulith Song, who was originally a BG3 concept, got to be a pretty solid offensive caster which is good cause the party was a Paladin, Arcane Trickster, and Land Druid who was more support focused.

Something I’m kinda proud of is that some of my projects on Ravelry are now on the pages for the patterns themselves 😊 (pls ignore the fact that these are patterns where I was a tester for an internet friend I met on Stitchcord lol)

That game was my first time GMing ever so it was a complete mess where I made *so* many mistakes when it comes to running an actually good game but at least I succeeded in making an NPC my players really liked. Also I’m proud of this map I copied over from the module as they moved around.

Bill Clark was a middle aged dad who had: had a midlife crisis after his kids moved out, spent all his savings on a Hurdy Gurdy and Bard outfit, then got kicked out by his wife for it. He was not good at music yet, deeply sad inside, and said shit like “I like the cut of your Jib!"

My Traveller character is named Mave Fitz and her goals in life are to figure out who she is and what happened to her, get a Lazer Rifle, & get a Teleportation Suit (cause I rolled good so she can teleport). She imprinted on the nice & harmless medic who found her so he's her best friend now.

One of my favorite crochet 🧶 projects. Formulaic enough that I didn’t need the pattern after the first couple repeats and it was so fun to make I was actually really sad when I finished. It was also a big hit among some high school trick-or-treaters this Halloween which was wild but cool.

I'm already super excited for the game of The Wildsea I'm gonna run for 3 friends. The 2 characters made so far are AMAZING. But then we had the idea of: if 1 person can't make it, becasue it be awkward in-and-out of game to only play w/ 2, we'll do Wanderhome as filler. And now I'm ECSTATIC.

GRUNG BEDROLL One of the first ever parties I joined had a Grung and she was great. I would like to contribute to the Grung community with this invention I would like to present: a Grung Bedroll concept to get around the Water Dependency trait they have in 5e. With the layers going from out to in.

As a Paladin, Dragomir had a pretty decent Charisma stat. So when I made a Sorceress for Decent into Avernus who had max Cha at level 1 due to lucky rolling, I thought it was funny that I had made 2 high Cha characters that would also be awkward as hell cause I am so I made this.

My boi Dragomir Hartmann. We were all so proud when he figured out he was gay cause for a while there he was real repressed.

Fun fact: my first thought when I come across a game that's GMless and has little-to-no prep is "this could be a party game 😍" until I remember that my standards for what's chill & casual in gaming are completely skewed by weekly sessions of mid-to-high crunch TTRPGs.
