did some customizing on my dankhold troggoth, nothing too fancy but got to root around in the bitz box and I'm happy with it! #ageofsigmar #spearhead #warhammercommunity

Age of Sigmar Dankhold Troggoth/Troggboss. Big lumbering troll miniature, covered in barnacles and fungus. This one has been customized - its weapon has been replaced with a ramshackle axe, and it has a makeshift shield strapped to one arm.

Dankhold Troggoth from another angle showing the shield, which is a repurposed bit from the Skaregob Totem terrain. The plan is to paint it yellow to represent a full Bad Moon.

Overhead angle showing more detail on the weapon. It's an Ironjawz Brute weapon bolted onto the haft of the default troggoth kit "big hammer".

continuing to work through my pile of neglected models, it's Soulblight Spearhead time. once these guys are based I'll have one whole squad done 💀🎉 #ageofsigmar #spearhead #warhammercommunity

Four Age of Sigmar deathrattle skeleton miniatures. Animated skeletons wearing decaying armour and clothing and wielding spears and shields. One is holding a tattered battle standard.

Deathrattle standard bearer closeup showing freehand banner detail. It's got a fanged skull with bat wings, painted shoddily (sort of on purpose??)

Reverse standard bearer detail. The squad wears dirty blue surcoats and this kind of cool tinny metal for armour and weapons and looks proper ancient.

Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur finished!!!! super fun model, put some thought into it, and I am very pleased with the results. the little paper plants are finicky but fun! just need to base the rest of the Spearhead and it's good to go #ageofsigmar #spearhead #warhammercommunity

Age of Sigmar Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur miniature. Dinosaur-man riding large dinosaur, both bedecked in solid gold armour.

Detail of the Saurus Oldblood - this dinosaur-man is wielding a weird halberd-type weapon and sitting atop a mahogany saddle/howdah festooned with grisly trophies. His golden armour glints resplendently and his mouth is open, as if issuing a warcry.

Detail on the carnosaur. It's been painted in a manner inspired by Australian shingleback skinks - primarily deep brown scales but accented with random lighter yellow ones, and the beast features the trademark blue tongue common among the skinks.

Additional portrait-aspect image of the whole miniature meant to show a little more of the jungle-themed basing.

making a little progress! so many little gold bits 😖 #ageofsigmar #spearhead #warhammercommunity

Age of Sigmar Seraphon Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur miniature. A fancy dinosaur-man riding a big dinosaur. It's in the process of being painted, with most of the model having been basecoated at this point.

Closeup on the miniature showing a blue skink tongue in the carnosaur's fangorious mouth, and some initial basecoating on the fancy dinosaur-man.

Probably just in line with the saurus warriors, but I did them so long ago I don't remember how I did the backs so there's gonna be a little improvising

Squad of Seraphon Saurus Warriors painted up with khaki scales with a green wash tint, and vibrant green underbellies.

going "lizard mode", doing this carnosaur using shingleback skinks that I saw in Australia as a distant reference.

Age of Sigmar Seraphon Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur. It's a model of a fancy dinosaur riding a big scary dinosaur. Currently a work in progress, the big dino is painted in homage to a shingleback skink, with dark brown scales punctuated by random yellow ones, and a yellow-brown underbelly.

Tiliqua rugosa, the shingleback skink. A cool reptile whose tail and head are almost indistinguishable. Its scales are in a similar dark brown-yellow mottled colouration.

been slacking badly on painting and slacking worse on posting pictures, but have been working on kroxigor for the Seraphon Spearhead. got some fun basing material that I am looking forward to breaking out for these #ageofsigmar #spearhead #warhammercommunity

Age of Sigmar Kroxigor - basically a huge humanoid crocodile wielding a two handed war mace. Painted in nice crocodilian greens, with lots of gold jewelry.

Kroxigor from behind, showing its cool tail-club ornament.

lucky dice and good positioning meant I kept the chaos knights from even getting onto the board against my seraphon spearhead #ageofsigmar #spearhead #warhammercommunity

Age of Sigmar Spearhead game in progress. Seraphon Starscale Warhost vs Slaves to Darkness Bloodwind Host. The seraphon have a dominating board presence, having wiped out both units of chaos warriors.

skinner & the superintendent may get all the spotlight, but let's not forget the 21 other equally delightful short films about springfield

two cartoon characters are riding a bicycle built for two. one appears to be physically traumatized (possibly from a fight?) while behind him, the second, elderly character has his feet braced against the first's back.

still from a cartoon. an angry woman is stomping away amidst a pile of rubble from what appears to be a collapsed house. in the back, a second character reclines amongst the rubble, reading a piece of paper.

cartoon title card for "Cletus, the Slack-Jawed Yokel", featuring a portrait of what we can assume is the titular Cletus, framed by a shotgun and beer can.

a cartoon nerd running in, looking winded. he's carrying something under one arm - probably an important invention or piece of scientific discovery?

first GT yesterday/today, went 1-4 (beat ogres, lost to idoneth, skaven, khorne, lumineth). baked anvil squig cupcakes, met amazing people, saw some great models, had a wonderful time. what a hobby! #ageofsigmar #spearhead #warhammercommunity

Ironjawz vs. Lumineth. I'm in the process of getting split up on tactical priorities and eventually losing the game.

Ironjawz vs Skaven. I got overrun by super powerful stormvermin and had some legendarily bad dice rolls in this one!

Ironjawz vs Khorne. Crit Mortals are the bane of my existence but Gordrakk managed to kill a bloodthirster (and the tuskboss got the other one) so I got a moral victory?

Two dozen Klonk, Dessert Squig cupcakes. Red velvet with raspberry buttercream. They turned out delicious!

back working on my saurus. put some shade onto the super bright underbelly and then cleaned em up for the next bunch of speedpaints #ageofsigmar #spearhead #warhammercommunity

ten Seraphon saurus warrior miniatures from Age of Sigmar. lizard-humanoid infantry with Mesoamerican-inspired shields and weaponry. they're in the process of being painted in a variety of greens and browns with lots of gold for the weapons and armour.

spearhead tournament day! went 1-2: beat Nighthaunt, lost to Nurgle and Chaos Warriors. hopefully learned some things. time will tell. feels so nice to field a fully painted force though!! #ageofsigmar #spearhead #warhammercommunity

Spearhead game board featuring Ironjawz vs Nighthaunt. Managed to do some annoying work with Mighty Destroyers to come out on top 18-16.

Spearhead game of Ironjawz vs Slaves to Darkness. I lost 13-15 and felt like I was losing the whole time, too.

hahah thanks, me too! my six-year-old did the majority of it so she gets the credit!

Morkspit Marsh manifestation - a swampy area terrain feature. it's been painted with a whole bunch of wild colours and looks very mystically gross.

part two!!! ready to go 0-5 in STYLE.

detail on the other three Gore-Gruntas and Maw-Grunta Gouger.

Warchanter in Bossrokk Tower, very thematic.

been slacking on posting my work lately! finished Gordrakk, the manifestations, and almost got the whole army basing done #ageofsigmar #spearhead #warhammercommunity

Gordrakk, Fist of Gork miniature. A hulking Ironjawz orruk wielding two huge axes rides atop a massive, muscular lizard-gorilla-dragon thing. I've painted the maw-krusha in traditional cabbage green and Gordrakk is sporting the red and black armour of the Bloodteef.

A Gork-Roara manifestation miniature. Basically a giant skull with a plume of green smoke billowing from the top, floating on a wave of goopy barf.

Ironjawz Megaboss on foot miniature. The biggest, most armoured orruk, with a huge axe, sporting the skull of some great beast lashed to one shoulder. His base is done up with lava texture and crackle paint, making him appear to be striding across a volcanic waste.

Ironjawz brute rager. Less armoured than all the other orruks, wielding a massive two-handed slab-sword and leaping across volcanic waste to hopefully ruin someone's day.

an Age of Sigmar Ironjawz Gore-Grunta - a heavily-armoured orruk with a spear, riding a heavily-armoured giant boar thing. it's basecoated with red and black armour with yellow accents.

another Ironjawz Gore-Grunta from the other squad. the fur on the giant boar is darker than the other one, which will help differentiate the units on the tabletop.

another five brutes to reinforce the squad! now I've got to start on pigs and the maw krusha 😬 #ageofsigmar #spearhead #warhammercommunity

ten Ironjawz Brutes, painted up in a Bloodteef scheme - red and black armour with yellow accents. hoping these guys can do some serious bonking in games to come!

0335

rollcrow @rollcrow.bsky.social · 19/01/2026

got some brutes basecoated and conveniently realized I have the whole spearhead ready to rock now #ageofsigmar #spearhead #warhammercommunity

five Ironjawz brutes, beefy orruk warriors with patchwork armour and a wild assortment of oversized melee weapons. they're painted in Bloodteef scheme - primarily red armour with dark grey and yellow accents.

the assembled Ironjawz Bigmob spearhead - one megaboss, five brutes, three brute ragers, and ten ardboyz, all at least basecoated in the Bloodteef style.

went 0-3 at a one-day charity tournament and had an absolute blast. met some super kind people and got some harsh lessons about getting charged and blocking myself out with my own foot of gork! game is fun!! #ageofsigmar #warhammercommunity

Age of Sigmar game in progress, Slaves to Darkness are crunching my Ironjawz. I managed to get the big pigs to do a little work in the end though! two daemon princes showed up to party and it was real scary.

Ironjawz vs Nighthaunt, got my pigs blown up early and couldn't get the damage output going. the Nighthaunt army had a super sick paint job!

Ironjawz versus Blades of Khorne hero AoR. this was the first game of the day and I got tabled by turn 3? the AoR seems really cool!
