Currently enjoying Carlo Rovelli's book of short anecdotes and reflections. He makes a good case that whilst inequality, racism, nationalism and war have plagued us for thousands of years, in the longer view they're relatively new features of human society. 1/2

Absolutely stunning cycling & camping whisky tour of the Inner Hebrides with my eldest child and my brewing buddy to celebrate my half century. Think we caught the best four consecutive days of weather in Scotland for a long while! Bowmore tour and Arran distillery visit.

If you happen to be in Durham on a Sunday, I can highly recommend a visit to @redhillsdurham.bsky.social Shame it's only open to the public for limited hours, but worth the effort: beautifully restored and fascinating building of socially historical significance.
