Good morning friends! I saw this and wanted to cry because of how sweet it is 😭

seeing people on twitter call buck "clifford the big red bisexual" and remembering clifford only grew so big because he was loved so hugely and unconditionally by emily elizabeth. and thinking about twinky lonely season one buck who'd just joined the 118. versus big beautiful beefcake season 8 buck after nearly a decade with bobby, hen, and chim, with his sister, with eddie and chris. so yeah, clifford the big red bisexual growing and growing and growing because their love for him is so damn big.

If Eddie hasn’t realized he’s in love with Buck by now, I think Buck having more tattoos might just do the trick … if you’re picking up what I’m putting down … I’m sure Oliver and the makeup team would be thrilled … LET BUCK HAVE OLIVER’S TATTOOS CHALLENGE

Since I communicate primarily by writing, I had difficulty adjusting to the film industry, which conducts business 99% by phone calls and face-to-face meetings. I finally realized this is because no one wants written records of conversations that might leak out and embarrass anyone. Fair enough.

I love Daredevil, but I had to suspend disbelief over the premise of Born Again re. Mayor Kingpin. The idea that voters would knowingly elect a convicted criminal who then subverts the rule of law and uses government to carry out personal vendettas seems a little far-fetched, doesn't it?

On my plate this week: Look over marketing and merchandising ideas for PJOTV season two. Read / note a script for season three. Edit a manuscript that I can't talk about yet. Continue writing a manuscript (the third new Percy novel) Have meetings on two other projects I can't talk about yet. Nap.

People keep telling me they didn’t know I have a book coming out this fall, so if that’s you: surprise! It’s a dark YA reimagining of Hansel and Gretel called WITCHKILLER and it comes out on my birthday (October 7)!

The cover for WITCHKILLER, a YA novel by Ashlee Latimer. The painted cover features a plus-size 17 year old girl with shoulder-length wavy hair wearing a worried expression. She has blood on her hands and face and is surrounded by flames coming out of a house in the foreground.

Turkey update: He is still there. I have gone in and out the door several times, said hi to him in passing, and he is completely chill about the whole thing. My son has started using him as a weather gauge: "Judging from the turkey's feathers it must be windy out there!"

Well, the turkey has moved along. Guess it just needed a quiet place to roost for a bit. In his honor, here's today's deep-cut deity, Chalchihuihtotolin, Nahuatl for "jeweled turkey." As I understand it, in human form he brings disease, but his nagual, animal form, can bring cleansing. I'll take it!
