🙏🏾to everyone who reached out during the recent PDS (Particularly Dangerous Situation) Red Flag Alert in WA. All 20 of our dogs & staff are safe. We ran through our fire evacuation protocols in case of a Level 3 evac notice, & thankfully never got the call. Grateful to ALL the wildland firefighters.

🐝 We've been bee-sy! Echo just detected not 1, but 2 bumble bee nests! BB nests are notoriously difficult to find. Every nest our dogs detect helps researchers learn more about where these important pollinators live. We're so proud of Echo helping uncover some of nature's best-kept secrets. 💛🐝

Cute dog pics anyone? This is Echo & Whisper, two of our #conservationcanines who are hot on the sniff for an endangered species. The going is tough, the fieldwork is intense, & searching for data on a rare species in logged old growth makes us sad, but at least our cowoofers are adorable 🥰

In Finnish the word for aurora “revontulet” means “fox fire” because according to legend the origin of the Northern Lights are arctic foxes running so fast that their large, furry tails would brush up snowflakes into the sky - as in my #linocut #FolkloreSunday minouette.etsy.com/listing/1632...
This is a my linocut print of an Arctic fox running over snowy grown against the night sky, printed in a gradient of indigo to dark indigo from the base to the top. The print has a tetradic colour scheme. Along with indigo the aurora shines in swathes of lime, lemon yellow and pinkish purple. This is a variable edition of 10 prints, printed by hand on Japanese paper, 9.25’ by 12.5”.
