Wanted to share a big thanks to everyone who's already watched the first 6 parts of my Fortune's Weave playthrough! I know A LOT of you are waiting to watch until you've played/beaten it so the fact that we've already amassed over 150K views on the first six parts is AWESOME! 💕

Got halfway through Dietrich's route on my flight! A little tonal whiplash from what I'm used to with Leda's route but Fabio is carrying it so far. Having a great time.

It was a MASSIVE undertaking but I also felt it was worth it since I own the template on Tiermaker so I can update it as new ones come out AND I can make my content creator friends' lives easier by having a definitive list to use!

Again, these are anime that shaped me as a person, not anime that shaped my channel or even my current favorites. If we're talking all time favorites, Hunter x Hunter has a spot on that list, no question!

RogersBase @rogersbase.com · 23/09/2026

This "Anime That Shaped Me" trend was tough because while these aren't necessarily my 9 favorite anime, each of these had an indisputable hand in getting me from watching Pokémon as a seven year old to covering anime/manga as part of my career.

A list of RogersBase's "9 Anime That Shaped Who I Am": Pokemon, One Piece, Inuyasha, Sgt. Frog, Cowboy Bebop, Eureka Seven, FLCL, D. Gray-man and Attack on Titan.

My clip always gets posted alongside that one guy yelling STAR WARSSSS so I think people just assumed I thought the same. Ya learn something new every day, haha. I actually have a whole 11 part playthrough of the Black Eagles route on my channel from when FE3H launched! Worth a cozy watch!

Fun Fact: The Kylo Ren/Byleth moment was a purposeful call back to when my chat said Kylo Ren was going to show up in Ridley's trailer: youtu.be/05RsPzYmpSQ?... (timestamped to the OG moment) My audience knows I'm obviously a big FE fan so I knew it was FE3H but it made for a great clip, haha

Fortune's Weave is somehow even better than I was expecting it to be. Five hours felt like ONE. There hasn't been a character I've disliked, it's an excellent challenge and the production value has never been higher in a FE. Really looking forward to playing more tomorrow!

I was definitely going to keep watching even if it wasn't! Enjoyed the first episode!

Seems to be happening a lot lately.

I was impressed by all of Widow's Bay's Emmy wins for Best Comedy so we watched the first episode last night and it's a "comedy" the same way The Martian was. Does it get funnier or keep the Twin Peaks vibe? I love the latter so I'm fine with that but it feels miscategorized.

Welcome to all the Twitter evacuees! I'm stuck to whatever platform the majority of the people are on so I can't leave the other place just yet but it's nice to see some movement! 🙃 If you're looking for content on #Nintendo, #OnePiece or Japanese games, you're in the right place! ❤️

If they ever switch over the official English release of One Piece to AI translations, I will go back to scans. Full stop. I am Mr. Official all the way but this one thing would make me hit the high seas indefinitely. Took the survey and left a paragraph. Please do the same!

I'm on Book 2 of Dungeon Crawler Carl right now and JUST got to the Pestiferous Vine. Imagine something like that in a field of poppies that put you to sleep if you stand still too long. I really feel that, if they nail the vibes, it could be an absolutely generational game.

Extremely happy they're actually going to follow through with Wizard of Oz as the focus of the next game. A souls game set in that world has so many possibilities. Lollipop Guild horde boss, horrifying gothic Tin Man battle, flying monkeys as your basic mobs...

Rolled credits on Splatoon Raiders and I genuinely can't believe how much I enjoyed it. As someone who was very much in the "This looks fine" camp when it was first announced (and even after the Direct), I'm THRILLED with the final game & hope they keep with the sub-franchise!

I usually stream my attempts! This most recent one wasn't all that bad but the last one (that dropped during the Mario event) I needed to be guided through by my chat. LOL

010

RogersBase @rogersbase.com · 17/07/2026

They're definitely hiding Storm and the new Jean Grey but I agree. I doubt it ends well for anyone pictured though, lol

080

RogersBase @rogersbase.com · 17/07/2026

Anyway all this to say Donkey Kong Bananza is still my Game of the Year last year and I don't see it getting dropping as my No. 1 DK game anytime soon. Great game!

0170

RogersBase @rogersbase.com · 17/07/2026

If you're bored with one layer that should be your sign to move on and come back because a future power-up will definitely make whatever it is you are trying to do much easier and more manageable. Also, THE MUSIC! The love & care they gave the DK cast! EVEN VOID KONG WAS GREAT!

1130

RogersBase @rogersbase.com · 17/07/2026

I think a lot of people played trying to get every banana before moving to the next layer & that's absolutely the WRONG WAY to play. Reminds me of people who complained that there was too much side content in FF7R that they felt they HAD to clear before getting to the next area.

1110

RogersBase @rogersbase.com · 17/07/2026

DK's mobility is at its most fluid in Bananza and once you've got it down, you enter a flow state that feels more in line with a 3D Mario speed run than a DKC.

1110

RogersBase @rogersbase.com · 17/07/2026

As someone who has 100%'d the game, all the Emerald Rush DLC and keeps up with all of the events, I can safely say DK Bananza is STILL one of my Top 10 favorite games of all time a full year later. 🍌 I get that it's not for everyone but when it clicked for me, it CLICKED.
