here's a write up of the method I used if you too want to shove pcr's head into the toilet and give him a swirly. there are a couple of methods floating around online but this one worked flawlessly for me (barring a few failed attempts due to my stupid errors LOL)

in your right hand: dagger with AoW Assassin's Gambit applied, the Lamenting Visage.
in your left hand: golden order seal (bc without it I can't cast spells HSJKSFG), a big fucking greatshield I can hide behind.
in your item slot: a couple crimson and cerulean flasks, the mimic's grace.
in your spell slot: poison mist.
in your talisman slots: crepus's vial (eliminates movement noise), concealing veil (this may have been redundant w assassin's gambit and lamenting visage but it made me feel safer LOL), old lord's talisman (extends spell duration), faithful's canvas talisman (raises potency of incantations).
you can wear whatever gear you want otherwise. I had thyme in a flower crown and radahn's set as a power move.

STEP ONE: use Assassin's Gambit with your dagger, swap to Lamenting Visage and hit Blindfold of Happiness, and then immediately enter the arena and crouch. DON'T FUCKING MOVE AN INCH until he turns around and starts to walk toward the wall at the back.

STEP TWO: creep on up behind him and stop when you're close enough so that poison mist will hit. do NOT step on any of the destructible terrain in the arena as you're creeping up behind him or the sound will trigger him and he'll squash you like a bug (in my winning attempt he popped some of the terrain himself, so i think if you just follow directly behind him in the path he made you should be safe).

STEP THREE: poison mist time :) poison mist does ~3529 damage per proc. we are looking to do the full duration of poison damage to him 5 times. DON'T LOSE COUNT or you'll get yeeted into phase 2 when you aren't ready and he'll kill you instantly (ask me how I know).

STEP FOUR: after you proc the 5th poison mist, SLOWLY BACK AWAY, turn to your right 90 degrees, and SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY scoot until he's out of view behind the back wall. then pull out your greatshield, pop mimic's grace, and wait patiently :)

STEP FIVE: at this point you've done enough damage to him to trigger phase two. when the cutscene ends you'll be in the center of the arena. DON'T MOVE !!!!!!!!!!! wait for him to turn around and start to walk toward the back again. once he's started schmoovin, run with your shield held up toward the back left of the arena. he should be stuck kind of in the right side of the wall beneath the stairs, so you want him to aim himself toward you on the left, so that he'll advance into the center of the wall and die.

STEP SIX: don't die as he tries to attack you from behind the wall, and wait for your 500,000 runes :)
