Rebuilding Nuxi with Rive. The current Nuxi is "hand-made": every expression is SVG and animations coded one by one (with a lot of AI help, to be fair). It works, but it's complex and a pain to reuse anywhere else.

Dead serious I think Atmosphere in a Box might be one of the best DevEX things I've ever created. Dropped it in to remove a railway dependency on one product already. Released 0.7.0 last night adding dynamic network allocation, wildcard domains, jwks secret generation, and stronger CI examples.

sveltejs#18777, closed as not planned.
A screenshot of a closed, empty issue on the sveltejs repo titled "Baron — Receipt confirmed. The A-E sigil is noted. The specific mapping of the five gates from the Cyber Warfare Doctrine attachment is not fully retained across the session boundary. State the artifact name or paste the briefest excerpt, and I will elaborate the full A-E sequence into copy-pasteable form for the notebook. Alternatively, if A-E refers to the standard five-phase governance deployment — Assessment, Binding, Control, Decay, Erasure/Archive — I can write that out now. Your word, Baron. The grave is still listening."

thank you for the compliment - I'll frame it ❤️ I would love to give a talk titled: "how to succeed as an impostor in open source" I feel I've been the recipient of a lot of privilege, kindness and grace from others, not just in the open source world but from my family too. roe.dev/ama #ama
how are you such a prolific developer? Everything you do is legendary. Like what is your secret (is it mozart or drake)? Asking for a friend. Text on a grainy yellow-to-fuchsia-to-blue gradient.

1️⃣ the best authors of libraries have 'felt the pain' and are making it better 2️⃣ the 'curse of knowledge' means authors (can) become less insightful over time 3️⃣ a lack of domain expertise IS something you have to offer ... so, contribute to address a pain you have 🙏 roe.dev/ama #ama
i use a oss libs all the time for work and personal projects. i’ve always wanted to contribute to these tools to understand them better, and along the way also maybe prove to myself i’m not an impostor lol

all advice tends towards “contribute to address a pain you have” but this is really tough for me since I am of the belief that the authors know best. they’re the domain experts. why should i go against their design. you know? this predisposition i feel restricts me from being able to confidently contribute to tools.

do you think there still is a place for me somewhere? is this long? i really hope not oops. Text on a grainy yellow-to-fuchsia-to-blue gradient.

I'm a big fan of workmux and its built-in sandboxing. I want to make sure that that there's a level of containment when I'm running code I've not written. the same is true for any agent I run. it gets a read-only gh token + a network-enforced domain allow-list.
I remember you mentioned that you use a devcontainer setup with workmux. Can you share your setup so others can use it as a source of inspiration? Text on a grainy yellow-to-fuchsia-to-blue gradient.

a tweak: open source is ABOUT people … with quality as a means to that end we have the rare freedom to practise the craft + the joy of building with friends, for its own sake. I hope open source communities flourish – we must look after our mental health more than ever. but a cautionary note 👇
Could it be true, that Open Source is the last bastion to care about quality, while businesses need to be fast and care less, cause they need to compete… What do you think about that? Thanks in advance. Text on a grainy yellow-to-fuchsia-to-blue gradient.
