Also, I'm kind of looking for a better place for that segmented control at the top of the Evolution tab so all the hero cards align 😅

For a long while, I've wanted to build an app that'd make it easier to evaluate and extract data from my runs, and now it's finally coming alive. 🌱 Meet Runny, which will have great Shortcuts actions for runners! 🏃‍♂️

Ah also, the stats overlay are part of a new app to provide alternatives to Strava's monopoly on runs' overlays 😂

I rarely post personal news here, but got really happy today running my third half-marathon 😊 21,1km in 1:52:30 for a pace of 5:20/km! Still haven't beaten my 2022 PR (5:16/km), but lots better than my last year's time (5:30/km). Onwards to next year, with a couple 10k races in the meantime 🏃💨

Missed last week, but I'm back now! Here's a new shortcut I'm really happy with: visualize your sleep stages as a stream chart! Shortcut link: www.icloud.com/shortcuts/ebc0... I also built a free version that plots your recent deep sleep amount: www.icloud.com/shortcuts/e296... Hope you like it!

I know we're in beta season and all, but this isn't acceptable. More than 50% of my 128gb iPhone 16 pro storage is lost to iOS. This is unreal. If iOS *really* needs this much space, Apple should never sell 128gb phones.

Here's something new: after launching @chartyios.app 2.0, I'm gonna be posting a new shortcut every Tuesday! Today: visualize your running journey! This one gets running data using Toolbox Pro, calculates a projection for the current month and charts everything! #ios #indiedev #swift #swiftcharts

Enfia a faca e gira.

Charty 2.0 uses Swift Charts to create more flexible and beautiful charts!

121

Rodrigo Araújo @rodrigo.rapptor.dev · 23/06/2026

It's got an entirely new interface completely written in SwiftUI! This new codebase is going to make updating it a lot easier in the future!

Completely new interface. Charty has been entirely rewritten on SwiftUI with improved controls and more customization.

Rodrigo Araújo @rodrigo.rapptor.dev · 23/06/2026

Charty 2.0 is now live on the App Store! After nearly 6 years, Charty has been completely rebuilt for better chart rendering, more reliable widgets, new palettes, new charts and new actions! #Shortcuts #iOS #SwiftUI #DataVisualization

Rodrigo Araújo @rodrigo.rapptor.dev · 23/06/2026

Welp, Charty 2.0 is approved, but its release is on hold until App Store Connect starts functioning again and allows me to see my app list. I'll update everyone as soon as it works. Sorry about the confusion.

Rodrigo Araújo @rodrigo.rapptor.dev · 23/06/2026

Of course App Store Connect decide to crash exactly when I'm trying to release Charty 2.0

Yeah, #Fable seems to be even better than Opus 4.8. Asked for a code audit and it surfaced a CoreData migration that'd slip through and a couple other improvements, including a special empty state for widgets when migrating databases.

I had no idea China wasn't getting this. You can't get even if you set both Siri and the phone to English? Why is that?

100

Rodrigo Araújo @rodrigo.rapptor.dev · 09/06/2026

7. It feels good, even though not great yet (asked about upcoming trips. It looked into my mail, and surfaced trips that had already happened). 8. Querying Apple Intelligence models from the api in 3rd party apps seems better. Still need to look further into this. #siriai #wwdc2026

000

Rodrigo Araújo @rodrigo.rapptor.dev · 09/06/2026

5. Opening from the swipe, you get your most recent chat after a while, and tapping it takes you to that chat in the overlay mode 6. The app has a list view (which came by default for me) and I think it's better than the staggered grid #siriai #wwdc2026

100

Rodrigo Araújo @rodrigo.rapptor.dev · 09/06/2026

3. Screen awareness is real and useful, but it fails on apps that block screenshots (which is reasonable) 4. The swipe down works *great* and there's a full screen overlay mode that's triggered by swiping again. Then, a full screen button appears, which then takes you to the app #siriai #wwdc2026

Rodrigo Araújo @rodrigo.rapptor.dev · 09/06/2026

Had a couple cool interactions with Siri AI 1. It replies in Portuguese if prompted in that language 2. Large prompts (those that Claude converts to an attached txt file) froze the app in my 16 pro. Apple might need to apply some sort of real time file conversion like Anthropic #siriai #wwdc2026

What a relief to finally announce the features we’ve been working on for so long now. Siri AI is, I think, the Siri we always wished Siri could be, but never quite had the capability to realize. So excited to have it in everyone’s hands!
