It was a great episode. I loved how many extra bits showed up during the credits! I was initially a little sad at how little host segment time we got in the episode, but the credit bits ended up feeling like the show over delivered by the end. Excited to see the credits bits in the other episodes.

Yeah I get that now, but it didn’t do much for me then. I think I probably took it for granted that Nintendo was going to make something that felt amazing to control (on me for not really appreciating it at the time), but was reeling from the visual and mood delta from yoshi’s island to 64.

It was weird to have already played 3D Lemmings (looked bad!) a year before Mario 64 (looked similar but worse than 3D Lemmings) and watch people absolutely lose their minds. I now see/like the things Mario 64 was doing, but to my teenage eyes I mostly saw a thing doing a worse job than my PC.
