my current side hustle is that i'm building budget gaming pcs out of parts people don't want anymore. you'd be surprised what people are basically throwing away. good pickings for someone who just needs a pc to use. i may make a tiktok or yt page to document that if the wind is right

i have 2 orange cats i inherited from my girlfriend. they are such assholes but they're cute so it's ok. i stopped writing ages ago and i'm probably never going back to streaming or content creation in general. i don't have the time or the passion for it anymore

i'm still working my thrift store job. it's only gotten even more stressful now that i have to commute 2hr round-trip 4 days a week. figured out that i like IT a lot, because it feels great to help people when you actually know what you're talking about, so i'm taking courses in that

oh yeah, and i moved out of my parents' house. me and my girlfriend got an apartment together january this year. it's been tough because life in america is shitty in general, everything is too expensive. but i'm happy i'm on my own now, even if it costs me an arm and a leg every month

My curse seems to be that im into girls & enbys that look like they collect pretty rocks and have an art studio in their room but i lack the art and rock collecting experience necessary to form an emotional bond with them

i've never played a TXR game but still bought this anyways, even in early access. i legit never thought there was going to be another good racing game that wasn't: 1. a forza horizon game 2. a prohibitively expensive simulation

The more I play my original Xbox the more I resent seeing things like this. A game system from 20-25 years ago is more reliable simply by virtue of not being connected to the internet the entire time www.eurogamer.net/xbox-network...

I wiped the floor with most of the DLC bosses except for like, Rellana until I got more Scadutree fragments, so I feel somewhat qualified in saying that this shit blows. I know how the story ends and I have other video games I want to play.

They did it. FromSoft finally made an impossible boss. No amount of exploring and overlevelling is going to make Promised Consort Radahn anything other than a meat grinder. $40 DLC and I can't even complete it

The optimal way to play Pokemon is to have the dual-type matchup charts on a computer screen at all times, so you don't have to keep unlocking a phone when you spend an hour researching double resistances for one single battle

28. Fallout S1 Weird, dark and funny in equal measures, Amazon's Fallout adaptation is always enticing, with a fantastic core mystery, a really interesting world and a really fun dynamic between the three main characters that feels like more than the sum of its parts. 8/10
The poster for season 1 of Amazon's Fallout adaptation, with the subtitle "The world needs a better ending" at the top of the poster. Features Ella Purnell's character (Lucy MacLean) crouching down in the center of the poster with a 10mm pistol in her right hand, Walton Goggins' character (Cooper Howard/The Ghoul) on the left holding a lever-action rifle, and Aaron Moten's character (Maximus) on the right in a set of power armor, each looking past the camera into a desert wasteland.

29. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023) This is an amazing-feeling FPS mired in a beaten-to-death horse carcass named Call of Duty, bloated with brand tie-ins and live-service bullshit, an overload of overlapping mechanics, a shitty campaign and a completely uncooked PvE extraction mode. 3/10

27. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011) MW3 sheds so many brain cells that it assumes the player has lost theirs too, leading them strictly by the hand through a globe-spanning military-themed carnival. An OK wave survival mode and a stout multiplayer playerbase act as saving graces. 5/10

26. Forza Motorsport 2 (DNF) A racing game with a ton of early 2000's energy that is not only marred with a clearly immature handling model but is also so damn easy that it's actually boring - just upgrade your car to its max PI, and never face a challenge again after hour 1. 4/10

25. Helldivers 2 (35 hrs) As far as live-service shooters go, this is a very good one. It often feels idiosyncratic, but always good, and the missions themselves remain entertaining. That being said, I can feel a grind creeping in and it's a bit high-commitment for me. 7/10

24. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) The intellect that defined COD4 is M.I.A from MW2's narrative and gameplay, in service of an high-concept, eye-catching plot and an expanded content platter that offers little substance. Despite this, it still has some cool, creative moments. 6/10
