I feel this so hard. But honestly I don't care if what I write or read is hot or not cause regardless I wouldn't be able to write or read it if it wasn't something of interest. But don't be discouraged everything has its season and finds it's audience. #kidlitchat

I also like to use dot charts to track my pacing. One per chapter and just kind of eyeball pacing vs where I am in the book helps me see if things are rising and falling or are just stagnant #kidlitchat

Pacing for chart. Chapters on the x axis and pacing up the y axis. Dots mark the pacing for each chapter and major events are outlined on a few dots.

Ooo hey it's been a hot minute #kidlitchat! *Waves* Pacing... Great topic. A ticking clock or a deadline is a great way to keep things moving fast. For a slightly slower pace questions or a quest/adventure that slowly gets answered or solved and brings up new questions.
