I think this is best understood as pathological hypervigilance against being tricked or taken advantage of, rather than a coherent economic theory (See also: Fears of being cuckolded, criminals "getting off easy" or "living in luxury in prison", "welfare cheats", and so on ad infinitum)

I think there's also a recycling of the anti-crypto/NFT campaign, which was highly effective against an empty collectible that lives and dies on public attention. Less effective against enterprise products like code agents; companies don't give a shit whether you like them or not if they work

I agree that the reviews don't feel overtly Claudey, but I spot some em-dashes and I'd still suspect some kind of (not necessarily LLM-based) deliberate campaign here; they're a bit too uniformly positive and consistent in the notes they hit and plot specifics they mention
