Vice President JD Vance said Thursday he wants to open investigations into some of the nation’s top universities over what he alleged is abuse of the J-1 visa program.

“Some of America’s most elite universities bring in foreigners to undercut the wages of American residents,” Vance said during a press conference. He then listed nine schools he said “merit an investigation.”

“Those are Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Brown, the University of Pittsburg (sic), UC Davis, Cal Tech, Arizona State, and MIT.”

Vance previously said he would support eliminating the H-1B program entirely, calling it “completely broken.”
