These cones will be here in 100 years. Arthur seat is now littered with hundreds council litigation terror totems. Disgraceful treatment of a Unesco site.

Seems strange the builders would elect to weaken the timber horizontal with nails so close together in a line! Surely that's why it's split? Thoughts

Huge number of Edinburgh locals use this bridge daily to stay of dangerous roads and allow green access. Lets hope a speedy resolution can be delivered without beaurocratic time penalties!!! We need to keep on this!!!!

Plenty space for a good bookshop! It'll fit just fine i think. High street is about choice.

The mind-set which overlooked this closure without adequate mitigation is very disappointing. Agreed. But we're aware of elected members and officials now exerting pressure on private contractor to resolve the problem. We'll report back when we hear more.

Yet another example of how walking and cycling infrastructure isn’t regarded by the council as all that important. Nice to have but expendable at the drop of a hat.

A short closure is one thing. An ongoing edin council go slow is quite another.

It'll sit empty while glaciers melt and Ed council sleeps

This is needing escalated! A busy path for green movement shut down potentially for years for a private builder!!! This stinks. Are Edinburgh council working for us or against us?

They've also closed st marks path at Broughton for up to 2 years! Really it's criminal. Edinburgh council is working against us not for us! What action can we take?
