Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 13hI'm just confused that 4 is the maximum. I was thinking "well 4 is ok if you're getting other pastries/breads at the same time 120
Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 13hAmazing how the response is even worse. Dude, how do you think reading to a baby goes without cuddling? Have you literally ever done this before? What do you think is the POINT of storytime? 040
Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I didn't get anywhere on figuring out how to handle bullies, but my kid learned some actual fighting skills and derived real confidence from that. I am not AT ALL a fan of "give em what for" as a strategy, and I am not happy with how it affected him on any level, but... There was a positive. 000
Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Quite right! You have always been and always will be very stylish. Also yes, great lippy. 010
Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I haven't seen your face lately and you look SO GOOD! Love that haircut! 100
Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Well, that and Yoba. And the monsters. Probably. I wouldn't presume to know really 000

Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Fabulous. I can see myself adding a little Triforce or similar myself. (I love Portal too! I can't actually PLAY it myself, too disorienting for my sucky reflexes, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching the kids play.) 000
Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 30/09/2026anyway I really love it. Care to tell me about the standout motifs? (the eye, the H etc) 210
Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I am now even more impressed. "Made it last winter" as in, all of it in ONE YEAR?? The traditional approach with these things is to start in a fit of enthusiasm, gradually lose momentum, studiously ignore it for a while, maybe finally complete it 5-10 years later, but you do you 110

Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 29/09/2026True, that one bothers me way less than "the truth is". Maybe it only started bugging me by association with the worse offender. But neither of those is really a weird thing to say in itself, it's just that I don't hear them nearly as often irl as on screen. 000
Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Ie is this a scriptwriter tic, or an actual commonplace tic? Maybe it's not actually contrived. Maybe it's just another grating verbal habit. 100
Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Ok I have a question for the Americans. TV characters are constantly saying "The truth is" or "Here's the thing." CONSTANTLY. It really throws me out of the scene bc it feels so scripted - it's not something I hear much off screen. But is it the US equivalent of "to be perfectly honest with you"? 100
Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Honestly though this discourse is so weird. I feel like 90% of comments are completely missing the point. (Mostly I mean the discussion around whether it's normal to HAVE a beverage in an interview, which is not the same as BRINGING one.) 000
Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I don't think I've ever seen anyone treat Eiskaffee as a takeaway item though, so that solves that. But if they DID have one the only real problem would be why didn't they bring one for me 120

Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 21/09/2026The best thing about Kirk is that any time Sean Gunn shows up you can absolutely read it as Kirk doing yet another thing. It always works. Especially in the Guardians Of The Galaxy. 100
Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Looks familiar? ✅ Behaviour familiar? ✅ Willing to join the family? apparently ✅ and yet journalists completely fail to ask the crucial question: CAN WE RUB THE BELLEH (also, the absolute CHEEK of scientists, stealing that family's pet) www.theguardian.com/world/2026/s... 000
Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 14/09/2026This is gorgeous! May I ask if you could recommend any resources for learning how to work with wire like this (or even just the right terminology for effective research)? A friend was struggling to find guides that weren't more about wire wrapping for jewellery. 000
Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Oh I'm aware. I just think there's a huge logical gap between "our economy isn't really driven by farming" and "the weather doesn't actually matter much" 010
Robynn @robynn.bsky.social · 12/09/2026I mean just the way harm is viewed only in the very narrow terms of GNP... I get that that's his remit but this is why everybody hates economists, no? (Well. Partly why) Anyway, Wikipedia is not giving me much sense of why I need to read Schelling. Would you fill that gap for me? 170
