Totally agree they need training on propoganda recognition but that will need a cast iron source of truth to be trusted. Which will be divisive. Unless it's Byline Times ;)

Sure, theres reinforcement learning but there's so much that slips through and the whole nature of how LLMs work is so subject to approximation in the end results. I've spent many hours hunting for things LLMs have presented only to find it was complete assumption based on expected outcomes.

LLMs are always going to trawl the internet and build their 'knowledge' on what they gather. Makes them so suseptable to manipulation without even going into whether the owners engineer a bias.

Ed will now be the scapegoat of Zionist Lobbiests influencing the venues. his response was spineless and he should have spoken out but he's a dude with a guitar who wants to sing his songs to stadiums of fans not a war criminal. Focus on the source, not the media frenzy.

One of the first "outrageous" claims I saw as Jason Arday's media hounding unfolded was that he ran 30 marathons in 35 days! Wow! What a thing to claim! And the newspapers all suggested there was no evidence he actually did it. Well, they clearly didn't look very hard 🙄 🧵 1/26

If you're at all unsure about the reporting around Jason Arday, you should read this. If you believe even 10% of it, you should be enraged. I'm so glad @bylinetimes.bsky.social exists.

Two byproducts of late stage capitalism. The 'requirement' for luxury iPad, and the lack of time/capacity to support your children so you can buy the ipad. There's free woodlands, RSPB reserves, beaches but they're not as convenient as handing your kid an iPad. Convenience will be the end of us!

It's about control of your environment and whether you feel able to relinquish that control. I've worked with kids who find school so overwhelming that they meltdown, but give them an intense VR game and they're totally calm cause they're in control despite the visual and audio chaos of the game.

It's devastating when such peace and wellbeing can be gained from just being concious in the moment, absorbing the sights and sounds of where you are. But when earphones provide that singular controlled distraction from the out of control world you suffer in it gets harder & harder to take them out

While I agree, I feel it's a position of privilege. Privalage of having the life experience that allows us to appreciate nature and more importantly, being in a mental place that allows us the bandwidth to take it in without needing the controlled ambience of our headphones to quiet our mind.
