DC's Absolute stuff really is as good as everyone says. Absolute Wonder Woman is my fave of the bunch. Marvel hasn't hit for me in a while, though I will say that I think everyone should revisit Priest and Quesada's The World to Come now that it's finished.

Two amazing debuts last month that both have their second issues slated for next week: Dark Horse's The Smart Division by Zack Kaplan and John Pearson BOOM!'s Gastronomique by Marguerite Bennett and Helena Masellis Both really blew my mind, so I'm very excited to see what comes next.

Off the top of my head - Dynamite's Vampirella - Priest writing, so it's worth locating the trades (or getting it digital). Art is by Ergün Gündüz who has been really fantastic. The last couple of issues have been by Davis Goetten, who is equally wonderful. Surprisingly deep characters.

This fantastic @robreedwrites.bsky.social article not only outlines the challenges for both readers and retailers caused by constant renumbering -- it also points out the best reason to let those digits on the covers grow: LEGACY IS COOL. Dropping issue numbers on each other is comic book culture.
New X-Men #114, X-Men #94... knowing key issues by their numbers is a fun part of loving comic books.

While I adore T'Challa and Ororo, I think part of the issue with the couple (and with BP in general) is that T'Challa works best when creators lean into the panther. He's a solitary ambush predator. Storm (esp now) is almost antithetical to that. It can work, but it has to be handled with care.
