This is a fail in three parts: - The particular butter he shows is ~$2.50/stick - Ingraham shops at high end stores (if *she* shops at all) and pays $4/stick - Bluesky is bougie about food & apparently doesn't realize most American shop at Kroger, Aldi, etc where a stick is absolutely a buck

I know big college towns like Ann Arbor are the prime market for this movie, but selling out 95% of your IMAX seats, three weeks in, on a Tuesday night is still something. It's crazy this movie is potentially going to gross as much as TG Maverick.

After 4 months pass, the hospital starts to reopen, and Steve announces that Caitlin has started robbing banks to raise money for R.O.A.R.: Revolutionary Order for Armed Rebellion. I tried to go with an all-shit talkers team with Jordan, AI, and Rasheed, but then fell into prime LeBron. I'm OK with it. (I'm not OK w only 69 wins -- prime MJ or LBJ alone are 55 wins; together? C'mon) I haven't decided if the Chief will punch people on the other team or his own team.
69-13 roster. AI, MJ, LeBron, Rasheed and Robert Parish.

This seems like 72 wins easy, right?

OMG, this woman from Southfield (in a story in the Freep today) just did a Shaq. The math is hitting her in the face, but she doesn't sound much smarter than him on the topic -- just hoping that someone, from some party, magically solves this. Not how it works!
'We're suffering for it'
Lynn Collins, of Southfield, said she usually gets half a tank for $20. On May 1, she paid her $20 and watched the pump provide only about a quarter of a tank, instead.
She sees the war in Iran as driving prices but admits she's not entirely sure what's driving Trump’s actions.
“We’re not in his shoes, so we don’t really know what is taking place or why he’s fighting so hard for whatever it is that he’s fighting for, but we are suffering for it,” she said. (Trump has said the short term impact is worth keeping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon and that prices will "plummet" when the fighting ends.)
Asked if, going into the November elections this year, she thinks either Republican or Democratic candidates could bring prices back down, she said, “I would hope so. Democrats, Republicans, whichever. Somebody, please.” For her, prices decreasing by $1 per gallon would be meaningful relief.

Just so people can appreciate how long the NY Times (and world media in general) are committed to this bit, another actual headline--from Oct 19. If there have been "a wave attacks" and more, now leading to air bombing, for over a week...there's not any "cease" in your "fire" (you would think).
NY Times headline from Oct 19: Israel Strikes Gaza and Temporarily Halts Aid, Saying Hamas Broke Truce

Israel launched a wave of attacks on Gaza after accusing Palestinian militants of attacking its forces across cease-fire lines. Both sides say they are still committed to the truce.

You honestly don't get it? Here's Gemini to help you out.
Google Gemini response to the prompt: why reactionary anti-LLM sentiments have become a sort-of left-coded cultural war issue.

Summary of the "Left-Coded" Alignment

The anti-LLM sentiment becomes "left-coded" when it emphasizes:

Economic Critique: Corporate power, monopoly, labor rights, and the financial exploitation of content creators.

Social Critique: The subtle reinforcement of systemic biases, the corporatization of progressive values, and the impact on information access and democratic discourse.

Cultural Critique: The devaluation of human work, creativity, and craft in favor of corporate-controlled, alienated "slop."

The people of Bluesky need to realize SK govt has responded tepidly to this, mostly performatively gesturing towards SK public anger. The workers may not want to go, but SK govt & companies still want to go where the money is. They don't care about workers appreciably more than Trump & Miller.
But he (South Korea President) said the raid would not undermine the bilateral alliance, praising Trump for offering to let the workers stay. Lee said he did not believe it was directed by Trump but was the result of overzealous law enforcement.

"I do not believe this was intentional, and the U.S. has apologised for this incident, and we have agreed to seek reasonable measures in this regard and we are working on them," he said.

There is a post on the old site where an old school con laments the fact his wife w Stage 4 now can't readily get the COVID vax b/c of the new rules. This guy knew RFK Jr was dangerous. He know Trump was crazy. Yet cultural issues win the day. They'll vote for that over their own wife's health.
There is also one overwhelming compelling reason to support Mr. Trump and it affected my thinking in 2024 more than anything else. Ironically, I talked about it and wrote about it the least in large part because it is not a substantive reason to support Mr. Trump. But it is my personal reason to support him over Kamala Harris.

Next year will be the two-hundred-fiftieth birthday of the United States of America. Were Ms. Harris the President next year and progressives in charge, we would be forced to hear sob stories of the founding white slave owners while being forced to celebrate the transgender amputee midget people of color whose sacrifices made victory possible. Instead of praise for Jefferson, Washington Madison, Hamilton, Adams, and Franklin we’d all have to sit through insufferable lectures about the non-Jewish people of color and lesbians who built this country and how white people ruined it all.

Every one of you knows this is true. -- from Erick Erickson

Even the WSJ (news side) is not up to the task. If after a bad jobs number (a big story in itself) the US President responds, Politburo style, by canning the person in charge of providing the numbers, that should be an ***EMERGENCY*** across the fold situation. That's not what they're doing.
