Rob Pitzer @robpitzer.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Hard to believe Spurs might go from a Champions League Final to the Championship this fast, on merit too. Leeds just about did the same, but it was financial stuff that got them. 000
Rob Pitzer @robpitzer.bsky.social · 17/09/2026The weird thing now is that on Reddit and elsewhere anything that's competently written and halfway intelligent is immediately written off as "AI Slop". 100
Rob Pitzer @robpitzer.bsky.social · 16/08/2026You are basically ESPN, c. 1981 -- where there's not bad sport and competition is good competition. 1160
Rob Pitzer @robpitzer.bsky.social · 04/08/2026No, but they're firmly in the A Street Canon (Waterboys, Duets, Brian Eno, World Party, Deee-Lite, Twin Peaks) 110
Rob Pitzer @robpitzer.bsky.social · 16/06/2026The most amazing stat there is that H.S. kids managed to tackle Derrick Henry 407 times in one season. 010
Rob Pitzer @robpitzer.bsky.social · 12/06/2026Yes, I remember how soccer, cricket, rugby, darts and table tennis were huge here until everyone else got good at them. Then we pissed right off and abandoned the field. You sir are a historian. 100
Rob Pitzer @robpitzer.bsky.social · 20/05/2026Literally the only downside is "it's not how we've always done it". 000
Rob Pitzer @robpitzer.bsky.social · 20/05/2026People bust on this, but having lived through it the first time and watched 30 years of soccer afterwards: it was glorious. There's no incentive to time waste. Everyone knows how much time is left. Managerial Knights of the Realm can't intimidate refs into more clock time. 100
Rob Pitzer @robpitzer.bsky.social · 17/10/2025I'm a walking stim shot, apparently. Probably should have sent me in sooner. 0140
Rob Pitzer @robpitzer.bsky.social · 13/06/2025Re 2)... agreed. The Bleuphoria has worn off a bit. 100
Rob Pitzer @robpitzer.bsky.social · 09/05/2025Might try finding a few relevant sub-reddits and ask for help there. Reddit's amazing for obscure hunts like this. 010
Rob Pitzer @robpitzer.bsky.social · 27/04/2025Happy to see 3 of the first 4 comments are on point. 000
Rob Pitzer @robpitzer.bsky.social · 22/02/2025We take the $17.5 trillion in savings from eliminating USAID and give everyone $5000. What part aren't you understanding? 010

Rob Pitzer @robpitzer.bsky.social · 20/01/2025We didn't even try to Metro in 2009, we just hoofed it both ways from/to Courthouse. And foot traffic from the Washington Monument to the Smithsonian was like being in a crowded bar. I don't think we'd have been able to cross Independence onto the Mall except we were able to cut through my office. 020
