I know it’s always ideal to buy the best you can afford but using dry braking as an example, if you’ve got Goodyear as a premium brand, the ‘bad’ tyre is only 8% worse. I was joking in my original reply, just to clarify. Lateral grip would be an interesting metric to compare.
