I also felt like the B8 RS4 was a bit dull. Quick car but a complete non event when you could just mat the throttle off a roundabout and it was immediately at 3 digits. The C7 RS6 from the same era was absolutely mental though.

Mk3 Focus RS. Old place I used to work had one of the first batch in the country in 2009. Reviews had it as a 5 star car, the top of the genre The engine is great but if anything the chassis was too good. It didn’t feel like you’d expect from a 300hp FWD car, it was fast but undramatic.

There just seems to be more body above the rear arch where the engine cover/rear glass meet. I guess that’s a consequence of no drip tail and using flush glass maybe? Rear bumper isn’t deep enough either and I really don’t think a smooth front end works either.

Not sure what’s happened with this event but there’s nobody here and none of the food trucks are open. It’s like a ghost town. This event won’t be on next year.

Parking on the South Bank at Brands Hatch. Normally packed but not today. There’s nobody parked anywhere to the left of the van.

All six of the food trucks in shot are closed, only the bar in the main grandstand and the Kentagon are open.

My flat overlooks a park and there was a guy chanting and clapping his hands for an over hour early this morning. Police were there within 10 minutes. Couldn’t make out what he was shouting about but I think it was something about Jesus, God and scattering fire so that’s cool.
