Last four watched… -‘The New Mutants’ (2020) -‘Backrooms’ (2026) -‘Captain America: Brave New World’ (2025) -‘’Thunderbolts*’ (2025) An uneventful X-Men film; Surprisingly the most suspenseful film I’ve seen in years; And two pretty decent Marvel movies.

Lionel Hutz no longer exists… Say hello to Miguel Sanchez!

Last four watched… -‘Fantastic Four: First Steps' (2025) -'Fantastic Four' (2015) -'All Night Long' (1962) -'The Blue Lamp' (1950) One fantastic four; one decidedly mediocre; and two brilliant Basil Dearden classics. Patrick McGoohan's performance in 'All Night Long' is a corker, as he’s so vile.

I would watch ‘Colossus: The Forbin Project’. One of my favourites. 👍 And, I probably wouldn’t watch ‘Cold Mountain’ so, I’d trash that. 💁‍♂️

The film that made a joke out of spousal abuse- John Ford’s ‘The Quiet Man’ (1952). 👍

Orbitz. It wasn’t especially good, but it was a novelty to drink. 💁‍♂️

Last four watched… -‘The Runner’ (2026) -‘The Trace We Leave Behind’ (2017) -‘Nine to Five’ (1980) -‘Supergirl’ (2026) Nothing exemplary. The best of the bunch is ‘9 to 5’, which is pretty corny, however when Lily Tomlin’s character is panicking in the hospital, and steals the corpse- Very funny!

‘How to Get Ahead in Advertising’ (1989). 👍

….Technically, it’s a miniseries. 5 feature length episodes, but they’re absolutely addictive. It’s easy peasy watching this amazing series. 👍

Watching ‘Brainstorm’, trashing ‘Dracula’.

Not a movie, but an early episode of ‘Mission: Impossible’ - Episode 6, “Odds on Evil” is a delightful caper, and much of the suspense hinges on a game of baccarat, and as that is the case, the episode does a great deep dive of explaining the game, so the audience can fully understand and enjoy it.

My favourite Howling sequel is ‘Howling III: The Marsupials’- I may even enjoy it as much as the original. I’d rank the others like so: 3. ‘Howling V: The Rebirth’ 4. ‘Howling II’ 5. ‘Howling VI: The Freaks’ 6. ‘Howling IV’ 7. ‘Howling VIII: Reborn’ 8. Howling VII: ‘New Moon Rising’

“Jurassic Park!” … Rather, it’s not a movie. This clip isn’t from ‘Alpha Papa’, but in fact from the ‘Alan Partridge’ series. Needless to say, I had the last laugh. 👍

Quite a lot actually- Have you seen any of the Superman movies? In the third one, the synthetic kryponite turns him into a grumpy a-hole, and he has to fight himself. In the fourth one, Luthor creates Nuclear Man, who has nails, and he’s more than a match for Superman. 👍

I believe my vote would go to, ‘World on a Wire’ (1973). 👍

Last four watched… -‘Gor’ (1987) -‘Diary of a Madman’ (1963) -‘The Last Castle’ (2001) -‘Ghost World’ (2001) Some decent movies. Nothing of particular note. ‘Diary of a Madman’ is probably my favourite of the four. Also, Rebecca Ferratti’s costume in ‘Gor’ is pretty swanky. 💁‍♂️

I would sooner compare it to the 1976 film ‘At the Earth’s Core’- Not for any similarity in the kind of film it is, but it’s got these creatures that are not dissimilar to Edgar Rice Burroughs’ winged creatures in this campy classic. 👍 It’s still not as good, but a fun almost companion piece.
