Books & stories are subjective things, but if you want a recommendation, I've got one fer ya: Tom Lake by Anne Patchet. Friend *told* me to read it in the context of me starting my memoire. It's a beautiful story about falling in love while young. The audiobook is narrated by Meryl Streep!

A thread on Spain and race: This April, I was heading through the streets of Sevilla on my way to see some friends in a bar (because of course) when I spied a young black couple dressed in wedding outfits, trying to take a selfie in front of a church in a tiny square. I stopped to watch.

Proof of Canadian Citizenship documents mailed! What a nerve-wracking process. Or should I say "Pro-cess"? Now the waiting begins. Probably 3 months for the AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt), then another year before the kids & I get notice that, yes, we are recognized as Canadians. Vive le Canada!
