Roberto David Jr. • Brazilian Portuguese teacher 🇧🇷 @robertodavidjr.bsky.social · 23/12/2024In Portugal, Santa's name is "Pai Natal", which can be literally translated as "Father Christmas" Portugal: "Pai Natal" Brasil: "Papai Noel" France: "Père Noël" #langsky #edusky #portuguese #iTeachWL 051
Roberto David Jr. • Brazilian Portuguese teacher 🇧🇷 @robertodavidjr.bsky.social · 23/12/2024Fun Fact: in Brazil, Santa's name is a mix of Portuguese and French: "Papai Noel" "Papai" comes from Portuguese, and it means "Father" (it's the equivalent of when kids say "daddy" in English) "Noel", on the other hand, is the word for "Christmas" in French ("Natal" in Portuguese) #langsky 🧵 1173
