I finished my Rings of Power editing project (turning season two into a 4hr 40min long film, akin to the extended editions of the trilogy) and I gotta say, that was a fun experiment. Looking forward to sharing some samples from it soon. The fan edit is called The Fall of Eregion (because, duh)

If they're smart the distribution will be 2 episodes per disc. Which is perfect. One hour of 4K footage amounts to roughly 30 gbs. A 4K disc stores 66 gbs to 100 gbs. That's plenty of room. Little to no compression needed! We're finally gonna a completely uncompromised image for Rings of Power.

What's funny is in the previous scene when interviewing Watson Holmes deliberately hides his morphine and cocaine habit, all while pretending to be forthcoming about his 'shortcomings' in order to squeeze info out of Watson. Definitely a prick move.
