Less than 7 degrees of separation: “The Spirit of 1876” painting by Archibald Willard was highlighted at the Los Altos History Museum’s recent exhibit honoring the #USA’s #semiquincentennial. As it turns out, Mr. Willard was a close friend of Alden Hare, a distant relative of mine. Small world, eh?

Putting my energy into #EnergyConservation: This being The Year of the Water Heater, I’ve switched ours from natural gas to fully electric. It’s an #EnvironmentallyFriendly switch, of course, but also the rebates from Silicon Valley Clean Energy and @MtnViewCA reduced the net cost significantly!

A magical @MtnViewCA experience: I was both pleased and proud to accompany a friend and her grandchildren to a very #KidFriendly concert at the #MagicalBridge Playground in Rengstorff Park. The Magical Bridge Foundation creates special, inclusive playgrounds for #communities’ kids, young and old.

Toward a greener @MtnViewCA: I was happy to take part in Canopy’s recent tree-planting day at Del Medio Park. Our team of Kelly, me & Graham (pictured) planted a ginkgo tree after expert instruction from Michael DeBroeck. Mountain View will plant 187 new trees this year, with 250 planned for 2027.
