A 12-year-girl was shot and killed and four others were injured at a youth football game in Baltimore, MD after an argument between two men escalated into gun violence. It is unfathomable that we are allowing our children to die in this preventable way.

Trump dismissed domestic violence and called it a “lesser” crime in the past. If that were the case, over 70 women wouldn't be dying every month at the hands of an abuser. But they are. Instead of emboldening abusers and undermining survivors, we need to invest in real solutions that keep us safe.

On this day in 2015, a gunman shot and killed nine people and wounded nine others at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon. The shooter was armed with six firearms, including an AR-style rifle, which is designed to shoot and kill as many people as possible, as quickly as possible.
