Crow Country is awesome! A fantastic horror game in the vein of classic Resident Evil!

I have never played a Saga game before, so let me say this: Romancing Saga 2: Revenge of the Seven, is a very boring game and I don't understand the love it gets.

Fate/stay night is a wild ride. I'm playing through hollow ataraxia now.

I'll share mine (only games I've played), best to worst: RE4 RE4R REVII RE2R RE1R RE Village RE3R RE5 RE0 RE Revelations Also I've played Umbrella Chronicles, but you can't play that anywhere these days and it's not great so it's barely worth mentioning.

I've been playing through the Suikoden II HD Remaster (having never played the original), but while I like the story, the gameplay is definitely outdated.

Hey, you should be aware that on your website, there are conflicting times in the description.

I dunno, as annoying as Reddit can be, I feel like truly awful comments get buried a lot easier there compared to here.

Woah, this makes the site so much more readable. Now they need to add downvotes so people can express displeasure without having to clog the site up with comments.

Sure, Umineko covers themes like generational trauma and child abuse and how money corrupts people, but the main character also makes a sexual assault joke in like, the first ten minutes of the first game.

My girlfriend and I were carrying around a big Hello Kitty plushie on the train a while ago. I feel like I am still able to be intimidating while carrying that around.

Considering I never got the base game, I just wanted to be able to play it (and have the steelbook, too). The cards were never part of the equation for me, so I just sold them to get some cash back. Cheaper than buying the game by itself!

Robert Bevill @robertbevill.bsky.social · 07/01/2026

Protip: the cards fetch a decent price on eBay!

I want a remake! Where is it, Sega? (And remake Phantasy Star IV in the HD-2D style, while you're at it)

Robert Bevill @robertbevill.bsky.social · 06/01/2026

Yep, hard to believe there wasn't more outcry over it.

Just finished reading it. Best Visual Novel I've ever read!

The majority? Absolutely not. The Nazis never got 50% in any election.

Gacha games are designed to be grindy to get you to pay money to speed up the process. Just don't bother with them.

Just finished reading "The Gangs of Zion: A Black Cop's Crusade in Mormon Country" by Ron Stallworth. It was an interesting read!

I just beat Suikoden I today! I'll probably start Suikoden II HD in the near future. Never played it before!

Which cards did you get? I got 6, 8, and 10 (I haven't played the game yet, so I don't know the characters)

As someone who has worked for one of these real estate companies before, this act is DESPERATELY needed.

Strohl is way different than the other "best friend" type characters because he's not an idiot. It was actually weird seeing the protagonist's friend consistently make rational decisions...

I saw an ICE ad on Indeed the other day.

Robert Bevill @robertbevill.bsky.social · 08/11/2025

Agreed, the original poster is greatly exaggerating. Operation Wetback was under Eisenhower, and he also endorsed Joseph McCarthy, a proto-Trump. Schumer sucks for a lot of reasons, but he's not further right than Eisenhower.

I'm playing through this right now! Just got the last party member.

I'm gonna give you a heads-up and say that Umineko Chapter 8 is... not great. I don't want to spoil, but I was real let down by it, and it seems like that's a common opinion. I still enjoyed the ride, though!

110

Robert Bevill @robertbevill.bsky.social · 01/11/2025

Royal has the extra chapter, so it's hard to compare when one version just has more content.

000

Robert Bevill @robertbevill.bsky.social · 31/10/2025

I will warn you - the end of chapter 2 has a VERY disturbing line of dialogue from Battler that you won't be ready for. Just... pretend it's not in the game.

As a major Silent Hill fan, I read Higurashi and Umineko this year in order to prepare. I still haven't played SHf yet, but at least I'm ready for when I get to it!
