The most beautiful book I own - probably - is The Iron Giant by Ted Hughes, a 1968 hardback. I think reading things like this as a child ‘does things’ to a person.

I watched that new version of Frankenstein

I kept thinking of Jed, Howard Jones’ backing dancer/mime when I was watching Frankenstein which did undercut the high-minded intentions of the film a bit.

Watching a video about the making of Superman and hadn't appreciated Oliver Reed has a cameo as young Clark

in this particular set photo, the actor who plays Superman as a toddler has a wafer thin resemblance to Oliver Reed, enough to make a very weak joke.

When Palace are up their name’s a troll

Crystal Palace is shortened to ‘cry’ on tv coverage. Which is used online to annoy fans of other teams, sometimes accompanied by footage of MBappe doing an eye rubbing goal celebration, which to be fair is dead annoying.
