Yay. More weeks of struggling to avoid otherwise sensible and interesting people talking about some shitty reality TV ahow

Rolling back the years working through the Xzibit catalogue on way to TPX away day. Beats getting a good workout

Think I may have a new AI (LLM) analogy When he was smaller boy would say the words to books we had read loads before I did. He couldn't read, didn't even know letters. But from familiarity, pictures and context of where we were in the story he got really good at guessing what was next.

Nice to see the garage get some use from child 2 ♥️

Wooden garage toy, clearly not professionally made!

Rob Chambers @robchamberspfc.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Yeah, guess that's the point. With responsive components and design systems where they are it should already be pretty good if you follow these and account for accessibility needs. It then feels more a case of how much you 'optimise' for specifically mobile screens and (touch) interactions

010

Rob Chambers @robchamberspfc.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Yeah, I always think of/refer to the person who needs to zoom their screen in particular.

010

Rob Chambers @robchamberspfc.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Weirdly have been making this responsive point this week (for an internal 'desktop only' service), although I am not actually playing PM on that team so feel the pain of having to convince them 😂

110

Rob Chambers @robchamberspfc.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Aye, we are a tricky bunch. But some of us are at least open to being convinced

210

Rob Chambers @robchamberspfc.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Guess maybe the sell easier if you can show mobile numbers 🤷

110

Rob Chambers @robchamberspfc.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Does mobile device usage really matter? Asumming responsive more than enough reasons to make the case for it to work properly even if no smaller screen usage.

Rob Chambers @robchamberspfc.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Been there a fair few times. That level of dump leaves a trace

If the weather is ok, a stroll round the latest Upfest artwork around North street area is not a bad way to spend a couple hours

Have had a genuinely marvellous day at Product for the People 9. It was lovely to be back in the room after so long away. Sending big love to @jukes.ie and @visitmy.website for arranging, and to everyone who spoke and was there. Next time, Leeds!

Baby group in the pub and one is zonked out on the seat no drama and another is exhaustedly screaming their head off despite being offered all possible options to snooze - perfect illustration of how all kids are different and what works for one is not an example of your 'good' parenting

Rob Chambers @robchamberspfc.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

Yeah, that was what made me think the date I mentioned was regularly being pushed into the future

010

Rob Chambers @robchamberspfc.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

"We plan to fix these issues as quickly as possible but at least by 31 December 2026" I reckon this date is set to auto increment to 'three months time'

120

Rob Chambers @robchamberspfc.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Yeah very true. I am currently trying to work out what level of limb I would gladly sacrifice to never have to do one again thought, which doesn't feel normal

Rob Chambers @robchamberspfc.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Ask me to work through a problem with any level of context or knowledge and my brain fires into action. Ask me how I meet some vague criteria in a form and I got nothing but crickets Surely job applications and performance reviews are not this hard for everyone?!

Rob Chambers @robchamberspfc.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

Yeah done the same as the white a little less offensive 😂

So Halifax is becoming Lloyds and my nice blue and white app is now a vile green and white/black Is the colour scheme of the app enough justification to change banks?

Given everything the last few days it feels like a good time to say I'm going to be needing a new job from September! I'm going back to contracting and looking for Product Coaching or Product Community/Chapter Lead type stuff. 3 or 4 days a week.

Leandro Paredes should be banned from international football for life viciously assaulting Spanish players after the final whistle. Indefensible thuggery and criminality.
