I wrote about Jim Bakker, whose parasocial style of grifter evangelism seemed freakish to mainstream society in the 80s and is now the machinery by which mainstream society operates

The Death and Afterlife of an American Con Man

Jim Bakker’s vision of the future came to pass. Just not in the way the disgraced televangelist imagined.

With that roof hit at Miller Park. I’m not sure what the call should have been.

All I know is that I’m chilling with my White Sox friends because Green Bay Sucks & one day we will wake up to no owners in baseball!

Perhaps the tweak to win the NL central next season (Whenever that might be) is a different Manager or GM, maybe it’s trading some defenders for pitching, maybe it’s betting the house for Skubal. Still a lot of baseball & owner shenanigans to go through first.

With a whole bunch a pitching injuries, it’s possible that a wild card appearance was the ceiling. Seeing my guy PCA have a brilliant 40/40 season but not able to affect a wild card series is the 2026 Cubs Season in a microcosm. We had the keys(Offense) the car (Defense) but no gas (Pitching).

Every White Sox playoff series win since 1917 has happened after my family moved from Southern Utah to Western Illinois in July 2005.

Considering recent developments, is the potential Culture Club Trainwreckords you mentioned once moved up in the pipeline?

The former CVS across from Wrigley is now another Official Cubs Team Store. It’s right next door to an independent sports gear store & there’s like 3 others plus another team store nearby.

New Offical Team Store of the Chicago Cubs.

If you haven’t already turned off Meta’s terrible “use my stuff for whatever!” AI: - Go to your Insta profile - Click the hamburger stack (3 lines) for settings - Scroll to “sharing and reuse” - Toggle Meta AI settings off (I only have Reels, you may also have Posts)

Screenshot of Instagram setting for Reels that is toggled off and says “allow people to create with and reuse your original audio on meta AI

I had not seen this clip where Tammy Duckworth advises Democrats to "not impeach anybody," "get back to work" and "allow" Donald Trump to "save face" and I would just like to remind the senator from IL that the federal government took 4,000 Chicagoans and murdered a 38-year-old father last fall.
