Is Gordon Brown the first prime minister to feature on a top 20 album? Good pop quiz fact if so.
Lyrics to A Man From The Future from the Pet Shop Boys album of the same name.

(Spoken: Gordon Brown)
Alan and the many thousands of other gay men who were convicted as he was convicted under homophobic laws
Werе treated terribly
Ovеr the years, millions more lived in fear of conviction
I am proud that those days are gone
So, on behalf of the British government, and all those who live freely
Thanks to Alan's work, I am very proud to say we are sorry

[Refrain: Neil Tennant]
Can you think what I feel?
Can you feel what I think?
Can we think and feel the same thing?

Two exciting campaign leaflets today for the Holborn & St Pancras by-election. George Galloway wants to end support for Zelensky and abolish 20mph speed limits; the Christian Peoples Alliance focuses on St Pancras himself, who it says was beheaded age 14 following a family breakdown. Much to ponder.

I keep seeing the headline “Hyrox athlete apologises for continuing race after soiling herself” so I’ve cracked and looked up “Hyrox” and frankly it’s a wonder any of them ever manage to finish the event without soiling themselves.
In each Hyrox race, participants alternate between running a kilometre and doing fitness exercises, including a sled push, burpee jumps, indoor rowing, and lunges while carrying a sandbag.

Went to see the Bayeux Tapestry. It is amazing and moving, unlike the endless queues.
People viewing the Bayeux Tapestry in its 70 metre long glass case, beneath the words of Henry of Huntingdon, “In the year 1066, the Lord the ruler carried out what he had long contemplated for the English: he delivered them for destruction to the violent and cunning Normans”.

At first I thought this Guardian front page was an exposé of Google’s evil but it’s actually a wrap around advert masquerading as the front page. I hope they got paid well.
Guardian front page advert for Google Cloud. A picture of two people in workwear standing on a construction site in a muddy field at sunrise. “Gemini Enterprise is scanning, guiding, accelerating, integrating, automating, protecting, scaling, streamlining, empowering, connecting, delivering for British businesses.” There’s similar corporate bollocks on the fake back page too.

The Italian Chapel at Lamb Holm, Orkney. Constructed by Italian prisoners of war during World War II.
The Italian Chapel consists of two Nissen huts transformed into a beautiful chapel by Domenico Chiocchetti and his colleagues, Italian prisoners of war captured in North Africa and transported to the island of Lamb Holm in Orkney.Among the Italians in Camp 60 was an artist, Domenico Chiocchetti. Chiocchetti carried in his pocket a small prayer card given to him by his mother before he left his home in Italy, and it was the image on that card of the Madonna and Child by Nicolo Barabino that Chiocchetti based his painting above the altar in the Chapel. One of the 14 carved Stations of the Cross on the walls of the chapel.
